2 weeks later Bella's POV I woke up with a bright, happy smile on my face. Today is finally here! I have waited for this day all my life and I can't believe it's finally here. My 19th birthday! Not exactly the D-Day but the eve of it. I am super excited because at exactly 12 midnight I will officially be the mate to my childhood boyfriend and first love Brian and also my wolf will be awakened!

Ken asked again when he got no reply. **** Flashback – 15 years ago **** March 17, 2016. “Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you Bella………” Little Isabella blushed as her family sang and danced around her joyfully. It was her seventh birthday and the family was celebrating her in their usual manner of celebrating each other. Isabella was blessed to have a very joyous family and pack around her, even the pack had celebrated her also this morning as they danced around her and praised their upcoming Luna. She was the only chosen Luna by the moon goddess amongst the other wolves, so she was somehow treated specially.

Adam tells her, looking upset. “I'm not-” “Bella, it kills me to deny you! It does. I want you so much but-” “Yesterday was my birthday. I am eighteen.” Bella says quietly. “What?” “Yesterday was my birthday. It is why I came and asked you to come to eat lunch with me. I wanted to celebrate with you, but you blew me off. My tradition is every year for my birthday I go to lunch with my dad. I was really missing him-”

“Trans-Hilton’s Eagles Hall? Bella, that place is… expensive!” Bella didn’t break her sad expression. She simply lowered her eyes and tightened her grip on Megan’s arm, carefully playing her part. “But if you’re worried Julia might get pissed off,” she said softly, still facing her mother, “then forget about it. I don’t mind having a simple celebration.” Her voice trembled lightly, the perfect blend of innocence and wounded disappointment. It worked instantly. “That’s nonsense,” Gavin said, suddenly shifting to the edge of his seat. His voice firmed like a man about to deliver a big pronouncement. “Bella, tomorrow is your eighteenth birthday. It has to be a grand celebration!”

She suddenly smiled at what I uttered to her. “I am also looking for her. She has been missing, hours had passed already.” My brows furrowed towards the Luna. She seemed worried about her, and I know she was referring to Anastasia. “Don't worry, Luna. I will find her.” The moment that I was about to leave when Bella suddenly appeared calling my name. She arrived in our direction with the Alpha. “My daughter told me that you have something to tell us, Alpha Connor.” The Alpha mumbled and which makes me let out a deep breath. Their daughter's eighteenth birthday would be today.

“Look at you, Lana. I honestly thought you’d still be shaking under your blanket after almost becoming monster-wolf bait earlier.” I rolled my eyes and punched him lightly on the shoulder. “Please. Even if I had been swallowed whole by a giant fish, I’d still drag myself out just to show up for your birthday.” Issac chuckled. “Good to know I rank just above near-death experiences.” Before I could reply, Bella spotted something near the bar and gasped dramatically. “Wait—is that roseberry champagne?” She grabbed my wrist briefly before letting go. “Lana, you guys go on without me. That drink and I have a destiny to fulfill!”

I smile, “Neither.” I got weird looks from everyone except Blaise. He smirked as I told them, “I can use my magic to move everything. It’s like teleporting, only with stuff instead of people.” Elliot smiled, “Nice!” I told Linden, Taylor and Max that they would learn the same things. Elliot then asked, “Who has gotten their wolf?” Linden spoke, “I will be turning sixteen next week. I should get my wolf then.” Just then, I yelled, “NO WAY! What day is your birthday?” He furrowed his brow in confusion, “August tenth. Why?” I smiled, “That’s my birthday too.” He laughed, “Really?” I nodded, “We’re going to have to have a birthday party. Taran's POV "You will die if I mark you without your wolf, little one." I let out a painful groan, lingering my lips over her clavicle. Goddess knows how much I wanted it. "It's been a full week now since my birthday!" Willa pouted, fixing her watery eyes on me with a pitiful look, "We don't even know if she would ever wake up!" She would. She hadn't woken up yet only because, her real birthday wasn't Christmas Eve. It was January 1st, the day I blacked out on 11 years ago.

I see them both lock eyes and have a look of utter shock on their faces. “MATE!” I hear them both say in unison. I look from one to the other and you can see that neither one expected to meet this way. Jacob is twenty one years old and I know that he had all but given up on ever finding his mate. Most wolves find their mates on their 18th birthday but so far Jacob hadn’t been so lucky. Who knew that he had been looking in the wrong place this whole time. Maybe the Moon Goddess has more than one reason for sending this girl to us.
