I reluctantly turn around and see Kevin, looking short of breath. “Betsy, here’s your water!” He grins as he is trying to push a glass of water on me. I have gone immobile for a second looking at him. He looks so thirsty for my attention like I am his only oasis. He glances at the man standing in front of me and does a double take. His face eventually changes probably realizing who it is. “Hi, sir! I’m Kevin Totte from chat support,” he says as he puts his hand on the air for a handshake.

I felt like punching her but I had to focus on more important issues. The corners of his eyes and mouth were always slightly upturned, giving him the air of an elegant and refined bodyguard. Looking at him, I felt a stir of delight. After coming back to his senses, he looked at me and then back at Ben before saying coldly: “she said she is fine, you can go now and don’t trouble yourself” I glared at Kevin, tilted my head a little and mouthed the words: “what the hell?” to him in silence. Ben ignored Kevin’s statement completely and continued talking to me: “you should be careful, next time I may not be there to save you”

“Yes, poor David. Last night he inadvertently made me aware of a weakness. One I did not know he possessed.” “Oh? You mean compassion and a caring for others?” Kevin says nothing.
