I can’t bother about what he’s thinking right now. The gruesome scene before me has the best of my attention. I watch with my breathe pausing in my throat as the woman crouches in front of the boy. Then slowly, she speaks- her voice silent yet audible like that of a venom. “You tried to wake the dragon?” The boy lifts his head, defiance blazing through his fear. “I am the last true dragon rider,” he says hoarsely. “The dragon belongs to me. I’ve been working on the right spells to claim it.”

Because they had the strength and power of a dragon and sometimes two dragons behind them, there was no question that they would rule. However, over time, jealousy and greed crept into the hearts of humans who wanted to harness the power of a dragon but were unable to tame them. They wanted to overthrow the rulers and so, unable to kill off the ones protected by the dragons, they began killing off the dragons themselves.

Remember the first silver dragon, Ryuu, told Davina her daughter Accalia will become leader of the dragons in the dragon realm and the Palmetto Pack will expand with Thierry as the Alpha.
