"This is why I didn't want to tell you." "I don't want to fight either." I forced myself to stay calm, even though everything inside me was screaming. "I just thought you trusted me." He gave me a look I'd never seen before. Cold. Clinical. Like he was seeing me not as Ewan, but as a problem to be solved. A threat to be managed. "I'm a Beta," he said. "The safety of my Alpha comes first." The words were like ice water in my veins. "More than me?"

She said, her voice becoming shaky. Now it was my turn to frown; I didn’t understand what was wrong with a Beta. They were high-ranking wolves; of course, not as high ranking as Alpha’s, but they were higher ranking than Gamma’s. Alex is a gamma warrior, not even the head gamma. So, I wasn’t sure what was wrong with being mated to a beta. “Is something wrong?” He asked, worry returning to his voice. His breathing became heavy, and I thought she was about to have a panic attack.

They are said to rival an alpha but they can't bond with a beta at all because it could lead to a miscarriage or birth complications. Then we have omega W, the submissive omegas. We are extremely rare now and can experience heat. That's why most alphas want to get their hands on one to experience the effect, the thrill, the rush and pleasure of this heat. She looked like she was listening to something no one else could hear. Holt pushed it toward her. “Your mother didn’t just build a weapon. She built a line.” Evelyn stared at him. “What does that mean?” “She didn’t modify one subject. She bred a template. The Alpha strain.” Her pulse kicked. “I’ve heard this already—” “No, you haven’t.” Holt’s voice was hard now. “The Alpha strain doesn’t make you stronger. It makes you… stable. You’re not the weapon. You’re the anchor. You balance the others. Keep the mutation from consuming them.”

Third Person Matteo observed the intense confrontation between Joric and Clay. He acknowledged the strength of both combatants, recognizing the potential for either to assume the role of the other's beta. Despite Clay's current beta status, Matteo sensed that he possessed the capability to ascend to the position of Alpha. In their human forms, despite Joric's seniority, Clay exhibited a formidable fighting prowess and a physique that matched Joric's. Well-trained and disciplined, Matteo wouldn't be surprised if Clay, the prospective beta, managed to surpass his future alpha.

and everyone raised their glasses. The Beta chuckled, “The far future Beta, I’m not ready to give up that title just yet, son,” Colton frowned at him. “Not planning on retiring yet then dad,” he said grinning “Spend your golden years with mum and all.” Even I could tell the underlying message. Colton wanted the Beta title, and by the look on Damien’s face he wanted the Alpha title too. The Alpha laughed, which only infuriated Damien off more, and the Beta inclined his head towards me.

So where had Ethan gotten it? The disorder had only been observed in lower-level werewolves so far because their weaker genes could not fight the mutation, allowing it to activate. Alpha-level wolves were believed to be immune, their stronger blood simply suppressed it, leaving the disorder dormant. But Ethan was undeniably Alpha, exactly like his father’s. I looked at him curiously, wondering if he realised his mistake. “I am the Beta.” I informed him. “Oh. Sorry dude.” He looked embarrassed. “I just assumed since you had all marked each other you’d be an Alpha too.” He was avoiding my gaze, clearly mortified by his mistake, but I can understand why this had been the assumption he had made. We had yet to make a proper announcement to clear all this up yet. “Well, that would normally be the case, but I have chosen to keep my Beta role.” I explain.

“Yes! Alpha.” “Now that I have conquered Fire Cross Pack. I now have two Betas. I don’t know much about the Beta of Fire Cross Pack, but the way each and every pack member listen to him. I can tell that he is a good Beta for them, and you’re also the Beta of this pack. So, after merging the pack, things will get quite complicated for me if I will have to choose any of you as Beta.
