Charles had continued to look into the hearth, listening to the residing footsteps of the King. Beth was truly not as other women, she was graceful, humble, elegant, beautiful and intelligent. As though on prompt, far away from the door, he had heard Alexander yell. "My advice would be to stay away!" Then the door had closed, locking him in with his thoughts.
