SERENA’S POV

Nothing wrong to smile at a few compliments. Besides, they seem to be reoccurring every time he sees or meets with me. So…. I might as well just get used to it.

“The prettiest you say? Wonder how your mom is to going to take that” I teased, relaxing on the white sofa by the side.

Just then my phone buzzed with a notification. “Huh? You want to switch to facetime?” I asked, partly surprised as I squinted at the ‘Accept Facetime Request’ notification.

“Why not” he responded, “Have to make sure the title is well deserved, don’t you think?”

I could only scoff in response. Rolling my eyes as I accepted the request. In no time, a very cocky but yet, surprisingly relaxed blonde-haired Axel appeared on my phone’s screen. Shirtless too. His entire toned up fair skin all up for display as he smirked directly at the screen. “See what you like?”

I blinked, masking my surprise with a scoff. “You wish! What, are there no more clothes where you live?”

He smiled, flashing his perfect se

SERENA’S POV“Axel, my man! You didn’t tell us you were bringing company,” a tall guy in loose linen shirt called out the moment we stepped into the open terrace. His voice carrying easily over the soft hum of chatter, everyone’s eyes swinging in our direction. Or maybe it was just me.I was already brimming with nervous excitement at this point. Right from the car. Not even Axel’s comforting humming to hip hop song during the drive here could calm me down. I just sat, my nude clutch tight in my grasp as I reminded myself to breathe. Just as I was doing right now. Only that I was currently standing. The tall guy’s gaze flicked over me after hugging Axel. His gaze curious but polite, and my nervousness increased in response. Making me want to shrink into the pale pink folds of my dress. Whereas, Axel was all smiles. Totally in his natural element and not sharing my nervous sentiments.Stupid perfect Bekett. “She’s my secret weapon today,” he replied smoothly, his arm still locked with

  • THE GLASS WIFE; the storm he built himself    CHAPTER 35

SERENA’S POVThere is something about speaking out. Defending yourself and just not taking shit from anyone. Especially from persons that are clearly out to get you. Persons like that pregnant mistress back at the light room. Eliot too.Two peas in a pod, that’s what those two were.Perfectly suiting each other in all their audaciousness and absolute shamelessness. I couldn’t even believe them to be honest. Especially that overly loud conversation they were having while I abandoned the light room for them. ‘We have a checkup with the doctor tomorrow, Eli’Like he wouldn’t hear her if she spoke at a normal volume. Or they couldn’t have that conversation some place else or even after I have left. But no. She had to do it just then. To make sure I heard it. Remind of what they’ve got, and what else I haven’t got. Totally ridiculous. What was even more ridiculous was Eliot going along with her. Actually responding back at an even higher volume. Making so obvious what they were trying to d

ELIOT’S POVMen like you.Men. Like. You.Like me.The words echoed in my head. “What the hell does that even mean?” I muttered under my breath. Irritated at myself for having the exact same thoughts since last night! All the way from last night. Ever since I read the response of that damned blogger, and shut down my laptop because of it. Or maybe, cause it felt kind of stupid to be responding again after seeing that she had added ‘goodnight’ to her response. Like it was some sort of silent scolding or something. A sign that response was all the time she had to spare for him-WftIsWrongWithThisBlog. For me.I was WftIsWrongWithThisBlog.Another phenomenal that I couldn’t begin to explain just how it happened!Regardless, it just felt stupid responding after that. At that time of the night too. “I can’t believe I’m letting this get to me. I can’t believe that I’m STILL thinking about it.” Saying it out loud only made me realize just how crazy this was. This entire week.It was like it w

SERNA'S POVHmm.“That doesn’t sound so bad.” I said, thinking aloud. “I mean, I get to meet people. Fashion inclined persons, see a few designs maybe? and just… jus- hold on. This isn’t like some boring old Beckett’s meeting, is it?” “Oh, you disappoint me Princess B!” he moaned out, throwing his head backwards with an attitude. “Do you really think that I, Axel. Will take you to some dumb old boring party like the ones Beckett’s throw?? C’mon!” I smiled, chuckling at his reaction. “I’m just asking.” “It won’t be like that Serena, I will never do that to you. I am not my mom!” I chuckled some more. His reaction making it impossible not to. If you didn’t know you would think I was killing him slowly. “Alright, I get it.” “So you’re coming? You’ll be my date for the day?” he pressed,“Its not a date, and yes I will attend. It will do me some good to make more friends other than you”“Oh so that’s what you have in mind? That’s why you’re coming? Oh no. you’re no longer invited! Goo

SERENA’S POV1:22AM.It was pretty much morning at this point. An entirely new day, but I hadn’t slept a wink yet. Not after seeing those accusations. Not after reading those accusations and seeing people believing it too! Not after watching my screen get filled up those lame ass, thoughtless and ridiculous statements from one bloody username!‘WftIsWrongWithThisBlog’“Pttf! Even the username already says a lot!” I hissed under my breath, forcing myself to remain calm as I waited. “If I didn’t know I would think he changed his username specifically to come bash me on here! On my own page! Who does that?”‘Trolls, maybe?’ my subconscious provided. Making me roll my eyes. “His page is blank. Just a username. Meaning his account was a fake. A coward, hiding behind a username to remain anonymous. He calls my posting an act of cowardice, whereas he was the real coward?”Pfft! Such double standards!Hypocrisy at the highest level. It’s been almost 2 minutes now since I sent out that last re
