He was staring past it, jaw tight, eyebrows drawn. He looked like he was barely holding it together. We made eye contact across the asphalt. For the first time since this morning, there was no coldness between us. No posturing. No anger. Just worry. Worry that mirrored mine exactly. He didn’t walk over. I didn’t either. We just stood there for a moment, watching each other from a distance neither of us tried to close. Maybe because neither of us had anything helpful to say. The boring meeting suddenly looked interesting. Emerald didn't know that she would see Egon again like this, but she couldn't say that she didn't like the unexpected meeting. She took a seat, and Egon smirked at her, to which she replied with her own small smirk. His eyes were struggling to move from her while she was openly checking him out. Both were busy flirting with their eyes while their guards were sweating and were worried because of this unexpected encounter. "I know that the families of the two of you don't get along and have been rivals for centuries, but I want the best one to do the deal with. This is business after all..."

He walked towards them while loosening his tie and looked directly at Nick's eyes. "It's bad," West whispered. Nick gave him a what-the-hell-are-you-talking-about look which is pretty much what everyone has on their faces. Edward stuck out his tongue and brush his fingers against his hair as he pushes them backward, he has no time for this. Who knows what Louis is doing with Hailey right now. West threw the envelope on the coffee table and akimbo both his arms on his waist. He pursed his lips looking tired as if he was chased 24/7.
