Mechanic or Luna: Book two

Mechanic or Luna: Book two

If I left my side open, he would just tap me. “Get out of your head.” Beau snapped. “Focus… there you go.” My muscles moved from memory. “STOP!” Piercy’s command made us stop and look over. I felt the approval run through him as he turned towards his warriors. “Switch.” Gavin walked over to us. “Beau. Be offence. Brett, work on closing the left side. You are so worried about your right kidney you are leaving the left open.” As we worked, Peircy was impressed. Eventually, I had to tune him out so I could focus. Beau was only slapping me, but he was getting me.

The Rejected Luna's Redemption

Inaya Greyhis doctor luna
I could sense the faint tension she radiated, anticipating my mistakes. During the match, she whispered instructions to the other participant, attempting to subtly influence their actions. I adjusted, relying on instinct and training with Clara. Every strike I delivered was precise, defensive, and measured. I avoided reckless attacks, countering efficiently. Each successful move strengthened my confidence and earned quiet nods from observers. Silver’s attempts to unsettle me escalated as the trials progressed. During the next exercise, a complex problem solving scenario involving pack strategy and resource management, she provided misleading suggestions to other participants. Several acted o

I followed her lead, and to my surprise, a calmness spread through me. “Better, isn’t it?” she asked. “Yes,” I admitted, my voice steadier now. “Good. Remember, in battle, your breath is your rhythm. It controls your movements, your focus, even your strength. If you lose it, you lose everything.” I nodded as I took in every word. “I’ll remember,” I mumbled. Leia straightened and gestured toward the path we’d been jogging. “We have two more laps to go,” she said. My stomach dropped but I swallowed my protest.

Bennet says as we see him pairing off the trainees. I cross my arms across my chest as I scan the pairs sparing on the field, a familiar chestnut brown braid causes me to pause. “That was a good kick, Thea, but you want to strike with your shin in Muay Thai, it will cause the most damage to your opponent,” Tracy says as she demonstrates the motion again.

His Dark Obsession

He nudges my ankle with his foot, fixing my stance. “Always keep your feet level to your shoulders. Don’t keep them so together or you will lose your balance.” He commands. I nod trying to focus, but only when he moves back am I able to focus. I do as he showed me, and he nods. “So you do have it in you to learn. Tell me Little Mouse, do you do better under pressure or fear?” My heart thuds as he does another two-move combo and I imitate his move. “Neither.”

AI Tactics, World Cup Tragedy

AI Tactics, World Cup Tragedy

Tim ran over and pulled Brenden to his feet. "Your technique isn't good enough," he said loudly. "Starting today, everyone has to do extra spinning drills!" Then he pulled out his phone on the spot. "TactiGenie, how can a player complete a full spin in 0.3 seconds?" The phone answered in a mechanical female voice. "I recommend players perform 300 spinning exercises every day and apply petroleum jelly to the soles of their cleats to reduce friction." Tim's eyes lit up. He turned around and shouted at the equipment staff.

His Defiant Little Breeder

Lisa gave me a little bit of coaching, she saw my strength and speed and knew that with the right tactics, I could be useful. So she gave me the tips I needed. “Your speed is how we win, Maya. We're relying on you.” Jeez, no pressure at all. Round two the whistle went and I did exactly what Lisa told me. Stop thinking. Find the gap and move. Everyone watched with baited breaths as Lisa took down the other opponent while Tala chased me with vengeance. She noticed there was a change in my confidence and she was desperate to snuff it out. Sofie felt the shift in their formation the second it opened and we were through it before Tala could notice. I crossed the finish line breathing hard, legs s

His turn was smoother, though still a little shaky. “That’s better,” I said. I stepped a little closer to the track, pointing toward the small ramp we had set up near the far end. “Next lap I want you to approach the ramp with steady speed. Don’t panic right before the lift. Keep your arms firm and—” “Or,” Draven’s voice suddenly cut in from behind me, calm but loud enough for everyone to hear, “you can loosen your grip slightly before the lift so the front tire doesn’t jerk upward.”

Elijah asked with interest. “Look at the posture points,” I said carefully. “A tall person must redirect the force to their arm without affecting their center of gravity and grip on their knees. The boys can't do what the teacher does because they're tall, so it's best to redirect that force to the free limb, in this case the arms.” Kael looked at me as if he were really seeing me. “How do you know this?” Kael asked. “Because I trained,” I said calmly, causing both he and Elijah to raise their eyebrows. “It's true; they won't realize it until they do the movements.”

The Way of the Dragon

This technique was difficult to train, and even harder to master, not many will choose to learn it. “Zephyr boy, stand with me. With his Berserker Rage, he has reached an Agile’s level!” Spout said sternly. “Sure!” Zephyr said, and gripped his sword tightly. “Die!” Sylvester hissed through a wicked smile. He jolted his body, and vanished into thin air. Where he once stood was now cracked and bruised with a web of lines that ran across the ground.

Enjoying the book tremendously, the characters names and even the tone of the author changed in the last 1/3 of the book was a bit confusing but was able to adjust to the changes the plot is definitely engaging and keeps you pushing to see how it all plays out for Zepher but it seem to abruptly?
