Wolfblood

Wolfblood

ALEXANDER My father and sister were both pretty fucked-up, but, damn, Blake was sick. Because we had to make do with what was available in the casino, which wasn’t much, Blake had a bunch of his warriors holding the members of the Bois Sombre Pack down while he tortured them. They were both fully naked after being forced into their human forms. Chef’s knives were brought in from the kitchen, and Blake tested each one of them out on the men’s torsos until he figured out which one was the sharpest, their ensuing screams widening his smile, his eyes gleaming.

I thought this book was well developed and I loved how it the story contined on involving both Alex and Blake's pack. I felt this story had more self reflection and perhaps self doubt with some of the MCs. But, honestly I think that is what made the bonds stronger and independently grow.

This book is already so much better than the first. I'm hoping that Jasmine doesn't remain a doormat with Lucy and she gets her comeuppance. I also hope Luke regrets his decision and becomes jealous. Jasmine deserves better than those 2. love Blake! Talia and Alex story definitely intriguing.

Touch me tender, Break me wild: A Steamy Compilation

Touch me tender, Break me wild: A Steamy Compilation

The scout yelped, bones crunching under Thorne's jaws. Jax whirled, claws extended. 'Thorne! You bastard, she's ours!' But Thorne was a storm, tearing through them with savage precision. He grabbed the second scout by the throat, hurling him into a trunk with a sickening crack. The air reeked of blood and fury, the forest alive with snarls and thuds. I pressed myself smaller, heart hammering, torn between fleeing and staring at this scarred giant who moved like vengeance itself.

The End Of My Tiresome Life

The End Of My Tiresome Life

More trees that he thought will stop the unsighty being on aftering him. He shrudded ablaze when trees cutted half and panted the ground. The unsighty being has a bladed skin, groving everything that block the way to its prey. And he is its prey! “Please,” he pleaded with his trembled voice. “I'm not tasty! Don't after me!” It only groaned excitedly and cutted more trees that one almost hit Rojan. But the impact crawl him down to the dusty ground. He cough and opt the pressure and anxious heart.

His Puppet

His Puppet

Ink walks over to me asking if I was okay, I smile thanking him where he shakes his head. "I should be the one thanking you, you helped me get out of a situation where I'd probably be in to the day I died" he smiles, I mean I didn't do much I just knew what was best for him "oh I got you this, back when we had our first conversation you mentioned something about mice drinking milk, so I thought I'd buy you a book" he smiles, handing me a little book with a mouse on the front, I can't believe he remembered that was so long ago. He picks Amelia up telling me he wanted to show her a cool fish tank, while I flip through the book, once I find the answer I turn to look at Blake.

The Alpha’s Girl

The Alpha’s Girl

I clenched my fists and forced my legs forward. Then the ground split open right in front of us. Black smoke exploded upward, twisting like a tornado. Out of it rose tall, bony creatures skinny, shadows with glowing red lines pulsing through them like veins. The air felt thick, hard to breathe, like their presence was squeezing my lungs. “Binders,” Ms. Joyce said, steady but sweating. “They’re tied to the book, they protect it.” One lunged straight at us. I didn’t even have time to move. Ms. Joyce slammed her staff into the earth, the ground erupted, throwing up a wall of jagged rock that smashed the creature into drifting black ash.

I’m enjoying this book, has some unexpected twists I did not see coming. But there are some inconsistencies in the storyline. The main villain was said to be stuck in his wolf form and could not change back to human form, but then in later chapters he’s fighting the male lead in human form?

The Vampire And His Huntress Wife

The Vampire And His Huntress Wife

There should be a breakthrough. I covered the branches with rosewood grease and lit them so that I had a source of light through the jungle. The beasts that had appeared in those visions never appeared again, as if they, too, had fallen into a deep sleep, like human beings. I looked up, trying to find the most shining star in the dark sky. That was the Big Dipper. Then, according to the direction of the Big Dipper, I successfully went out of the jungle. A stream came to me. Listening to the sound of the gurgling water, I felt for the first time that it was so good to be alive!

Twisted Fates

Twisted Fates

This whole place was starting to look like a maze. “I just have to get out of here soon,” he mumbled to himself. He wasn’t a fan of books, but he was going to do all he could to make sure that he found the truth. Finally, he settled on 4 big books that were laced with images of tree monsters. They were actually a thing, and it was crazy that no one had realised this till now. He pulled the books to the nearby table and dumped them on it. One had a lock, and he skipped that since he didn’t have a key. Focusing instead on the other smaller books.

Bound by Gun (Book 1)

Bound by Gun (Book 1)

The scent of home lingered in the air—leather, a whisper of pine, and something delicate, something I couldn’t quite place but recognized as hers. The coat fell from my shoulders, draping itself over the nearest chair without a care. The tension in my neck demanded relief, yet the sight of the door slightly ajar down the hallway held me captive, unyielding. A narrow beam of light crept out, casting a faint glow on the shadowy ground. I had no desire to see it. But my feet moved me ahead regardless, silent and deliberate, like a hunter closing in on its target. I cracked the door just wide enough to take a look inside.
