Kyle smirks, as he hides the sinister smile behind his pure smile as he dares. “Let’s see about that.”

He had a nice voice, but all he used it for was to scream and chew everyone's heads off. He was probably the clown from IT. Only, this one targeted adults and not children. It was all beginning to make sense. No wonder he scared the living daylights out of me. He was like Pennywise, Squidward, Eeyore, and freaking Johnny Bravo wrapped in one annoying ass package.

I swallowed, trying to lighten the heaviness building in my throat. “Besides,” I added, voice quieter, “I can’t have you dying in my arms. What do you think the headline would be?” His eyes narrowed slightly. I forced a weak smile. “Billionaire dies in the hands of his P.A.” For a second, there was silence. Then Dorian’s lips twitched. And he smiled. Not small. Not a smirk. A real smile. It was quick, like it escaped him before he could stop it, but it was there. And it changed his whole face.

Skylar made her way into the five-star restaurant, her eyes glancing briefly through the few people that were seated in the room, until they landed on Grayson, who was seated by the window, his face brightening with a warm, sweet smile the moment he raised his head. She instantly flashed a warm smile at him from where she was standing, and he rose to his feet, as a gesture to welcome her which almost melted away her initial nervousness instantly. It made Skylar's eyes almost roll in shock because she never thought she could see him smile considering their first and second encounter.

They were a match made in heaven. Outside the lifts, they bumped into Ives and President Skye. Ives looked at Penny’s arm coldly. He wanted to remove her arm from another man’s arm, but he restrained himself. Penny didn’t even look at him, she just ignored him. Ives nearly fainted with anger when he saw Penny smiling sweetly at the stranger, but he calmed himself down. President Skye smiled at Penny and said, “Miss Earl, what a beautiful event. My wife is still talking about your cocktail party even today. She loved your work a lot.” Penny smiled and thanked him.

His cheesy smile was back on his face. “Not quite yet. Could it be my turn to take you somewhere scary?” I winked.

What could he possibly spend it on. "Meaning what?" He crossed sinewed forearms over his chest. Making the muscles under shirt bulge. "You always work late, you care too much about being innocuous, you have no social skills. You clearly don't have much of a life." He tipped his head back and laughed at that. Revealing perfect, square teeth. Teeth which I couldn't recall ever seeing before. Did he ever smile at Chase & Walker? Nope. Don't think so. I decided.

After scary man was done, Willis whispered in his ears, before approaching me. "I don't think you'll come out alive," he said, his voice low and smooth. "That helps a lot, thank you," I replied, my tone dripping with both sarcasm and apprehension. Willis smiled wryly, and continued, "But at least, this wristwatch will let us know where to pick up your dead body." I took the watch from him, trying to ignore the shiver that ran through me. Slowly, I approached scary man and spoke.

It made him confused and disturbed. He slumped down the floor and the door creaked a bit and it was followed with loud footsteps after that. He sighed and shook his head then he felt someone opened the door wide and it slammed into his knees. The impact and pain of that jolted his body and made him look up. He glanced up and there he was smiling so creepily back at him. W—wha? His golden eyes were fixated on him and he was totally smiling so wide that it made his body stiffened up. What was that? He hasn’t seen Yenn smile like that. Not in a moment nor a chance he had caught that kind of smile. It was terrifying and—

She asked her question, and I responded with a smirk, "You're so funny." "So, you're going to show me the video?" I repeated her question, and she nodded eagerly. But I just smiled, my mind racing. "You think I don't know your plan?" I said, my voice laced with amusement. "You want me to show you so you can delete it.” Penny's expression changed, surprise written across her face. "No, I just want to see it to believe you," she said. I smiled, my eyes glinting with amusement.
