Eli laughed and let his wolf run free. As Hermes rounded the bend in the trees, he suddenly caught a scent. It was the tastiest scent ever. Almost like Melody's warm apple pie as soon as it came out of the oven. Hermes's mouth began to water. Every fiber in his being screamed to find where the scent was coming from. Hermes slowed down the closer he got to the scent. As he peered through the trees, he noticed a small stream. Standing near the edge was a beautifully naked woman. She looked around the same age as Eli wondered who that could possibly be.

I snapped at him venom lacing my voice. I heard the flapping of wings and since the front door was left open, a bird flew in and landed on the dining table. Hermes didn’t say or do anything at all. Instead he stood to his feet, his eyes still trained on me and walked towards the bird, taking the note that was in its mouth before it flew out. “From your step mother.” He pointed waving the note at me. He unrolled the paper and read the contents out loud. “Surrender the girl or you die with her. No one survives it when they double cross and betray me.”

I whisper, noticing Hermes approaching our table. Hermes has always disgusted me. He has greasy salt and pepper hair balding at the top, a rounded belly that sticks out of his shirts that are at least two sizes too small, and long pointed fingers nails that look as if they've never been touched, but his smell, alone is enough to make anyone keep their distance. He smells like death, what I'd imagine a zombie smelled like. A scent that's pungent yet sickly sweet; imagine a rotting piece of meat mixed with a candy-scented woman's perfume. I took a bit longer than usual since i had to take a longer route so as to make sure no one saw me leaving and i don't get followed by Austin cos i don't trust that guy.the route i followed was really lonely and quiet except for the chirping of birds and squeaking sound by other animals.I was riding my bicycle while still anxious about what will happen at the tomb, especially since i didn't let anyone know where i am going to. I continued riding till i felt something off.everywhere was too still.All the sounds being made by animals around had all stopped.The air was kind of heavy and suffocating.I had goosebumps over my body.

The old doctor approached him and said in his rough, ancient voice, “Mr. Gomez, I’m Pyre Hermes, the doctor you appointed.” Jeremy went still for a second. Pyre Hermes? That did not seem to be the name of the doctor he appointed. Wait, wait, Pyre Hermes? Pyre meant wood for burning a corpse, and Hermes meant a message… A message about the fire? Jeremy’s eyes lit up as he turned to observe the person more carefully, only to discover that he was somewhat familiar. “Oh Hermes, you seem lively as ever.” Hermes hunched even smaller upon hearing that snickering voice. “Don’t be like that. Am I the kind form of the parasite that makes other people go ballistic?” Shadow picked her ear, her dead eyes gazed straight into Hermes. “Or am I capable of unhinging my jaws in a cartoonish fashion and swallowing you whole?” Hermes shook his head, instinctively answered her. His body was currently screaming fight or flight mode, yet he couldn’t even move an inch.
