Birds Of Prey の小説・ストーリー

-Ferals- Feral is a term used in this book for half-human-half-animal living beings. They don’t seek royal blood for it gives them no powers at all. It is up to them, if they want to work for the vampires or werewolves or if they want to be protectors of the Royal blood. They are not as powerful as the others, however, if taken under the wings of royal blood they do become useful tools and become more powerful.

He could sense that the bird was not alone, and that there were other spirits around them, waiting to strike. Nathan and his guards stood there, swords drawn, ready to defend themselves against whatever evil spirits were lurking in the darkness. They knew that they were in for a long and dangerous night. As the bird lunged and screeched towards them, the guards waited for Nathan's command to charge. Nathan observed the bird closely, trying to identify any distinguishing features that might reveal its origin or intent. The bird appeared to be a large, wild raven, its black feathers ruffled by the wind. It continued to screech and flap its wings, as if trying to intimidate the group.

A cool, gentle breeze blew over the meadow and through the trees at the edge of the forest. The changing leaves danced magically in the wind. A shower of orange, red, yellow, and brown cascaded whimsically to the ground below. A hawk cried out over head as it flew over the meadow. It's sharp eye catching sight of a mouse as it scurried all around looking for a tidbit of food, caused it to turn and to coast upon the breeze. Suddenly, without any warning, it brought it's wings close to its side and dove at a seemingly impossible speed. Head first it hurdled towards the ground. Just before impact it suddenly spread it's wings and threw it's talons forward. The mouse never stood a chance. The po

Finches added their high-pitched trills, while blackbirds, with their distinctive calls, added depth and richness to the composition. With each note that filled the air, the birds seemed to dance, their wings fluttering in rhythm as they soared and glided through the sky. Their feathers, a kaleidoscope of colors, created a stunning display against the backdrop of the azure heavens. The iridescent blues of blue jays, the fiery oranges of orioles, and the vibrant yellows of canaries intertwined, forming a living tapestry of vibrant hues.

Since the bird was in a trance, it did what was asked before it let out a shrill cry and burnt to ashes. That was the speciality of the bird. They are loyal powerful birds often used for spying and one needs to ask them to tell their secret willingly which is impossible because they kill you immediately once you ask the question but if you're successful, they die immediately while their dying cries are only heard by their master and the killer. The one thing people normally forget is that they come in pairs but by killing one, the other too is already damaged. Gwen misted again and found the second bird near to collapsing who was spying on her aunts.

I silently prayed for the strength to say the right words and offer her some comfort. I could hear low whispers coming from the kitchen. As we entered the only thing that caught my attention was the 3 Phoenix birds on the table. I had somehow forgotten that I had found one and now there were three in the kitchen. Each one was a different color. One was silver, one was black, and the last was a deep blue. I felt a chill run through my body as I realized the significance of the three Phoenix birds. They were a sign of something special. They all turned to me and squawked as they fell to me, lowering their heads as if bowing when they raised their heads the Blue one spoke

"You weird birds, your reign of terror is up as I..." One if the birds cut him off, "Silence human!" It was a female voice. "Do not compare us to mere birds", says another. "We are harpies, the true birds of prey." "Ha-harpies?" Sebastian says. Now that she mentioned it, it became clear. All three harpies were females with bodies covered by white feathers and their hands filled with massive feathers that carried their weight in the air, only one of the harpies had green hair aside from the others that had white.

I shrugged it off. "Hmm…but how did you know there was a panther? I didn't even see it," "This is why it's important to pay attention to the noises around you. When the panther came, the noises around us dimmed a bit. Preys go silent when they spot a predator." I explained. "When the whole forest goes silent then that means there's an apex predator nearby," "Whoa…" Ruth nodded. "Interesting…" We walked forward aimlessly for a few minutes after that before we came across something.

Every thought was right there on her beautiful face. Movement on the edge of the ridge caught his eye. “Quick, get your video camera.” She picked up the equipment and said, “Where?” Chase pointed to the sky. “There. Two red-tailed hawks are hovering on a thermal.” “I see them.” They didn’t speak, just watched the grace of the birds. Circling higher, swooping down, then floating, remaining so still they’d look like blots on the horizon to the casual observer. After the birds drifted away, she shut off her camera and faced him. “Thank you.”

THE WIND grew more violent as each second passed. The birds that were resting on the branches of the trees all squealed and flew away. We were yet to see the hybrids, but we knew they were here. We could feel it as tension sizzled in the air. We could even smell it. Their blood scent was everywhere which meant that we were now surrounded by them.
