Bite
Black blood splatters across the room, and Hunter knocks the clearly dead John against the wall again and again, leaving foul-smelling splats with each snap against the wall.
He throws John’s dead body to the tile, and he places his large paw against the dead man’s back.
I know what he’s going to do, but that doesn't stop the shock of watching my peaceful packmate raise his head to howl, and then—without mercy—bite off John’s head.
I almost scream.
He sniffs the body, pushing it with his muzzle, and with a satisfied grunt, he turns to me.
Black blood drips off his lips, and there is no remorse in those feral blue eyes.
