The water was a freezing, ink-black void that threatened to pull the heat from my marrow in seconds. Above us, the island was screaming—the structural groans of a multi-million dollar fortress collapsing under the intense, chemical heat of the phosphorus. White smoke, thick and toxic, billowed out of the cliffside vents, looking like ghostly fingers reaching for the moon. We were floating in the graveyard of our sanctuary, two specks of life in a sea of burning debris.

Layla frowned at the word party. "You don't have to come if you don't want to",Riven assured her quickly when he noticed the panicked expression on her face. Layla went quiet, thinking about how a party would be. "Why is it called a black and white party?",she asked after contemplating it. "It's an annual ball that is thrown to honour the moon goddess",Riven explained. "The white is the colour of the moon, and the black is for the earth of the island"

“We’re seeing higher energy levels with each one. If this pattern holds, the remaining fractures will be even more dangerous.” Jamie slumped into a chair, rubbing his temples. “Great. So, what’s next? A fracture that tries to eat us alive?” Crane didn’t respond, his focus on the map. “There’s one here,” he said, pointing to a glowing point near the coastline. “The Isle of Ash. It’s isolated, which means the force can manifest more freely without interference.” Vivienne frowned. “Isolated? How do we even get there?” “We’ll take the ferry,” Crane said. “Haverstone used it for his fieldwork. It should still be operational.”

“I don’t know. I don’t even think about it. I don’t like to think about unhappy people. It brings me down.” They rounded a small hilltop, and there, in the distance, sat a crumbling stone ruin, about twenty feet high, the remnant of a fortification from the castle, half-submerged in the river. It was separated from the island, out in the river about ten feet. And there, standing on top of it, glaring down at them, stood Blake. He held a spear in one hand and, standing the way he was, his back to the river and the open sky, he looked like he was the last warrior left on earth.

Isabelle takes my hands and tells me to close my eyes. I don't know what to expect from this, but with the sound everyone is making I start to feel dizzy and when Olivia starts shaking the magic maraca she asked to have I feel like... "We're done," someone says. It’s Isabelle. She lets go of my hands and gets up from the floor. The sky is super dark now, the magic maraca is no longer shaking. And I don't understand why she's saying we're done, I just dozed off for one second, "This is delicate, you can all go first. I'll talk to Andy in private."

He’s not judgmental, which is very high quality in my opinion. The terrace door is open, I step outside and spot someone sitting on a small table. I recognize the Black Tiger in his all-leather outfit. He’s peacefully smoking his cigarette while his eyes are resting on the moonlight and his mind travelling elsewhere. I hesitate to move closer at first, but I don’t have any reason to fear him. It’s not like the building belongs to him.

Jasmin covered Camellia’s eyes. “Why can’t I see?” She complained. “You’re too young sweetie.” Her mother replied. “Looks like she found her other half.” Leo said holding Jasmin. Jasmin nodded and rested her head on his chest. “I wonder who will win though.” Angelina said. “What do you mean?” Leo asked. “Both of them don’t like to be controlled. So I wondering who will give up first.” “The one who loves the most will give up first.” Jasmin told her.

We’ve got an exciting itinerary filled with beaches, jungles, waterfalls and lots of smiles. I promise I won’t sound so sappy in the actual blog, but it’ll be fun to write (and hopefully to read) and Jamaica will be the topic of my first post. Did something break?” I called out. “I was pouring us some wine but I think Brian knocked the glass out of my hand. He’s probably still upset at me for stealing his girl,” he yelled back.

He heard his father resorted with frustration in his voice. “Dear, you shouldn’t be here. Go back to your room.” His mother hurriedly whispered when she noticed him listening to their conversation. “Wait, did you just say men in black?” Hyde resorted when he came back to his senses. His companion didn’t speak but answered him with a mere nod. “Oh, and one more thing, she also said that one of them has some kind of black bird tattoo on the neck.” Hyde was stunned when he heard about the tattoo. He’s certain, that the deceased man was one of them—or just a scapegoat.

Even the wind stilled, as though the very earth held its breath. Before us rose an ancient forest, gnarled and twisted. The trees were blackened, bark like scorched bone, their branches curling toward the sky like clawed fingers. The sun above dimmed, veiled by a thick, unnatural mist that hovered over the earth like rot. At the edge of it all stood the cave, Iskareth Hollow.
