Lucifer fired back angrily. *I'm sorry, boss. Let's get going for the blood hunt,* Annihilator hissed excitedly. Lucifer shifted into his wolf form, a massive black beast with glowing red eyes. He leapt from the window, landing silently on the ground below. He moved with lethal grace towards the dungeon, his mind focused on his next victim. Luciano, standing guard outside the dungeon, saw the wolf approaching. He quickly ordered the guards to leave, recognizing Lucifer in his wolf form.

Just then, the door opened. Nero stepped in, the quiet command of his presence immediately filled the room. Dressed in a sharp black suit, his raven hair perfectly styled and slicked to perfection, his low beard, neatly trimmed and groomed, his eyes glinting with a strange smouldering fire, his mask still hanging from one hand, he looked as though sin itself had learned how to wear a tie. Rea straightened immediately, though her smirk didn’t fade. “Speak of the devil,” she said lightly. “And he shall appear.”

Her massive, hydraulic-powered pincer claw whirred softly, venting a small cloud of steam into the cold air. She looked at the perfectly dry, V-shaped patch of ground radiating outward from Ren’s body, protecting the entire settlement. She knelt beside him, her segmented, dark eyes unreadable. "I have lived in the dark for twenty years," Nero clicked, her mandibles shifting. "I have seen Warlords drown in the shallows, and I have seen the King's Guard crushed by the pressure. But I have never seen a single man break a wave like that."

Clayton found a safe, out of sight spot in a tree and stowed the backpack away carefully before he too shifted. Camden instantly knew something was wrong as Clayton shifted. The air grew thick and a menacing growl cut through the air. She regarded Clayton, realising that the sound had come from him. She looked around, wondering if there was some enemy about that she hadn't seen, but she couldn't see anyone. She couldn't smell anyone either. Neo rushed outside and right behind him was Sherry. Blade, Logan, and the twins instantly joined his side. I slowed my pace and trotted to them. They were all looking at me with fear on their faces. "Stay back, intruder, this is as far as you go." The Beta ( Neo ) spat as his eyes turned to a shade of golden yellow. I inhaled deeply and breathed out as I transformed into my human form. The gasps that broke out made me chuckle. And the look on their faces was priceless.

“Whose blood is it, then? What happened?” Nero steps into the shower fully clothed, the water quickly turning pink as it mixes with the blood on his skin and clothes. He leans against the wall, his eyes closing as if he’s struggling to stay upright. “Pack business,” he says after a moment, his voice barely above a whisper. “It got... complicated.” I step closer, placing my hands on his shoulders, feeling the tension in his muscles. “Complicated how, Nero? Talk to me.” He opens his eyes and looks at me, the intensity in his gaze almost overwhelming. “There was an ambush. We were tracking some rogues, but it was a trap. We fought them off, but... it was brutal. I’m sorry if I scared you.”
