The Black Hollow was an ancient, cursed land, a place where the veil between realms was thinnest. Raven took a step forward, his expression darkening. “If you refuse, I will keep hunting you. I will destroy everything you have rebuilt. Your mother, your people, your precious Kael... I will burn them all.” A growl rose in my throat. “You’ll regret underestimating me.” He let out a low chuckle. “We’ll see.”

“He won’t search the foundation immediately. He thinks I am too weak to hide under his nose.” He paused. A grim smile touched his lips. “Besides, the bond gave me something crucial, Elara. I saw their formations. I know where Blackwood is vulnerable. He thinks he broke me. He has no idea he just forged a weapon.” He carried me into the dark service stairwell. I closed my eyes. The rhythm of his heart beat against my ear—steady, powerful, and alive. “Rian,” I murmured, the question nagging at me. “The blue line. It turned black. What does black mean?”

Jack drew our attention back to the name Raphael had tagged Raymond back then. “Black cold doesn't exist, Jack. You checked it up yourself” I responded. “Black cold?” Gideon asked, “Or red coal?” And I snapped to look at him. He was driving. “Wow,” Jack exclaimed, “That's the fucking name!” He screamed. “I just checked it out now. That's Raymond's fucking name, The Red Coal. How come we never thought of that? How did you know?” He asked the same question I wanted to ask Gideon.

' Blinking his eyes, he murmured, "Holy shit!" The two of them started laughing at him devilishly. Then Mr Black answered, "Yes I do... I want to know!" He yelled at them angrily. Hearing his answer, they stopped laughing in a jiffy and then one of them said, "We are here for a great deal and not for introduction," He walked around him and continued, "Cooperate and set yourself free... Refrain and you will be killed with no trace." Mr Black looked around, the place was like a building underground and truthfully anything can happen there without a trace.

He excused himself from the meeting and led me to a quiet corner of the dining room. "This is a letter," I began, pointing to letters from The Raven. "It shows that Gray and Blackwood were part of something bigger. There's a bigger connection at play here." Nathan frowned mentally and studied the letter. "The Raven... I've heard that name before. It's a nickname for someone who is shady underground, who orchestrates high-level criminal activity but never gets directly involved." A chill ran down my spine. "So Gray and Blackwood were just pawns?"

As I watched Blakely dance, her eyes never once leaving the crowd, I absentmindedly unfolded my slip of paper, wondering if there were a clue I might’ve missed. Anything to help me identify her would-be attacker. The moment my eyes skimmed the page, a burst of black ink unfurled across its surface. After she recited the spell, the wind blew hard along with the lightning of the sky, which was illuminated by the moonlight and was covered by dark clouds. Her grandmother shouted, calling her name. "Tazaana! What are you doing there? Run away fast Tazaana!! " She remained there and did not run away. Of course, her grandmother's screams could not be heard because of the window that was still closed, along with the thunder.

I was cut off in the middle of my words when the people around us demanded of something. “Awesome! We want more. That was beautiful!” they all requested. “Black Thunders, its showtime!” Raid said to our team members and they all nodded at him. They all pointed their joined hands with their index fingers aiming the sky and released a ball of energies in different colors depending on their magic attributes. The sky became colorful and that bewildered everyone in the school quadrangle where the booths are located. But we were all taken aback when Archmaster’s voice reverberated in the whole academy.

He showed her no compassion and that's when the young woman felt that her cause was truly lost. For a moment, the young woman could hardly breathe. No! Not now... she said to herself. Not now... She began to make the hundred steps under the vigilant eye of the man. She was choking... She had more and more difficulty to breathe and in a last look of pity towards the man, she felt herself losing her balance... She closed her eyes and fainted.
