He's quiet, lost in the memory. "What happened?" I ask softly. Theodore looks at me, studying me for a moment. "Just because we can shift doesn't mean we are better people, Hera," he says. "My father was a perfect example of that. He used to beat me until I was black and blue. No one knew–my mother knew how to hide it. But one time when we were fifteen, Ambrose heard my cries, threw him off me, fought, and killed him. I knew he was destined to be Alpha, but that was the first time I felt I believed in him. He could've died defending me."

“Thank you for the compliment. I’m Leah. And you must be from the Blackwell clan?” The man stood and reached out a hand to her, which she reluctantly shook. “Yes. I’m Theodore Blackwell. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Leah sat down on the sofa next to her father facing Theo and assessed him. He seemed nice enough, but would he be strong enough in the future to stand by her side when she eventually took over the Sullivan clan. Leah doubted it. The man may be kind of charming, but charm didn’t win fights. If her clan were ever to be attacked in the future, Leah didn’t think she would be able to depend on him to have her back.

Annalise is 21 and in college with her two best friends and her sister. She is starting her last year off on a good start. She is one grade ahead of her average age. She is studying art and wants to be the best she can be. She is assigned a partner for her last big assignment, Theo Hyde. I looked down the hallway and through the other side, and there was actually no one in sight. My heart hammered as I approached the large double office doors with D. BLACKWOOD engraved on the metal plate. I forced my trembling hand to knock. No answer. Great. I knocked again. Still nothing. Screw it. I pushed the door open— —and froze in place. Damian Blackwood sat behind his massive black desk. Sharp suit. Cuffed sleeves. Jaw tight enough to crack a diamond. He didn’t look up at me. Not even a glance. I opened my mouth to speak but was cut off by his deep voice.

"You've grown so much." Lorrie frowned slightly. "We've never met." "No," the old man whispered. "But I carried you in my arms the very day you were born." The courtyard fell completely silent. "My name is Theodore Blackwood," he announced. "I served your late parents faithfully. I also attended their funeral." Lorrie's heart tightened painfully. "You knew my mother?" "I loved her as if she were my own daughter." He turned his gaze to Lorenzo, a spark of recognition in his eyes. "And I deeply respected your father, young man."

Third Person POV A black SUV comes to a sudden halt in front of an old shack. The dim light turns on inside, and an old man with a body length walking stick comes out. His eyes are white matching his head full of slivered hair, midback length. He wears an old dark gray robe and slips his flip flops on to step outside. "Blake son! Is that you?" The old wolf says. The SUV door opens and Blake makes his way out wearing combat uniform, matching with the uniforms his warriors wear.

“That’s impossible!” “But why? It’s normal, no? I just asked him about the mission and he explained everything to me.” I shrug. “Keira.” Jayden places his hand on my shoulder, “When I told you that the Black Tiger doesn’t talk to anyone, I meant it. He never exchanged words with any of us, we don’t even know what his voice sounds like.” I raise an eyebrow and look at them nod. I laugh and run my fingers through my dark hair, “I guess I gave him no choice then.”

Pushing the chair back with a thud, Theodore stormed towards the man who was watching him with an evil smirk. “Dylan Black. Who do you think you are? How dare you harass my girl?” He growled and lunged to hold his collar but a painful grunt left his mouth when Dylan kicked him in his shin making him fall flat on the floor. Theodore tried to get up when Elijah grabbed his collar and dragged him out. “WHAT THE HELL!! LEAVE ME!!”

Mr Taylor. He is there standing with Mr Lee, already staring down at me. As I scan down his outfit, I find him in a full sleeve t-shirt that is black in colour. The fabric seems thick. He wears hunter-green trousers and black boots to match the shirt. He looks awesome like always and I admire him with my dreamy eyes. And with that way of staring down at me like he wants to capture me with every angle, I find him hotter. For a moment, I glance down at myself, taking in the sight of my attire.
