Elizabeth sped away, Dave slumped in the passenger seat. Ijeoma lay unconscious, her fate uncertain. As the dust settled, a figure emerged from the shadows - Marcus, phone in hand. He watched the chaos unfold, a mix of concern and calculation on his face.

The woman was then pulled to the ground, lying on her back. However, the woman did not wake up after she was grabbed with such great force before being thrown to the ground. She should have been drugged by something, leading her to fall unconscious. “Damn, it's this filthy b*tch! She even wanted to kill me, but fortunately, I was prepared,” Black Water cursed after seeing the woman's face. Then he said, “Somebody, take her away. I’ll decide how I’ll torture her after she wakes up. When I’m satisfied with her, you all will get a turn too.”

He heard his father resorted with frustration in his voice. “Dear, you shouldn’t be here. Go back to your room.” His mother hurriedly whispered when she noticed him listening to their conversation. “Wait, did you just say men in black?” Hyde resorted when he came back to his senses. His companion didn’t speak but answered him with a mere nod. “Oh, and one more thing, she also said that one of them has some kind of black bird tattoo on the neck.” Hyde was stunned when he heard about the tattoo. He’s certain, that the deceased man was one of them—or just a scapegoat.

Then, she drove the dagger into her heart. Blood burst out, staining the ground, only to be washed away by the rain. With the last of her strength, she looked at me. “Miles, don’t worry. I had already asked my friend to seek justice for Zack so he could rest in peace. I also compensated the victim’s family. I know it’s pointless, but it’s the only thing I can do for him. Also…I love you.” Then, she stopped breathing. Dash looked at her dead body, sobbing painfully.

It was a lifetime defined not by grief or trauma, but by an unbroken, radiant joy. Until the sky turned to ash. Without warning, the golden light shattered like cheap glass. The dream fractured into a terrifying, chaotic whiplash of agonizing images. Rebecca felt a sudden, suffocating cold lock into her lungs—a violent, hacking cough that tore through her chest, leaving the metallic taste of blood on her lips. She was lying in a wooden bed, her flesh burning with a wasting mortal fever, her vision fading into a gray, terrifying dark.

I felt terrible like my body was used as a bat to hit an immovable object, my nose felt stuffy, my throat was dry and there was an bitter taste on my tongue that felt like something went to rot there The feeling of disgust heightened, the dirt on my body felt like a layer of unwanted skin, the gnawing feeling of hunger rose within me, eating me from the inside out from my stomach leading to my chest. We ran the last hundred yards. Slipped and slid down the muddy slope. The Well was worse up close. The water was completely black. It moved wrong. Like it was alive. "What happened to it?" Kael asked. I knelt by the edge. Looked into the darkness.

The "Page White" sky of the North did not dissolve so much as it bled. The vibrant violet and gold of the present began to drain away, replaced by a heavy, monochromatic amber that smelled of old parchment and cold iron.
