Freya saw the the symbol on her sister's shoulder. It was glowing in the darkness but wasn't consistent. It went in and off and one couldn't see it unless they came closer to where she sat. It was the Prophesy's mark. Whoever had it was one with the lunar moon and Oracle. Whoever had it was meant to become the most powerful werewolf. It came by once in a thousand years, and was very very rare to find the chosen seed that had it.

His daughter’s head whipped around so fast to shoot me a suspicious look that I could not help but smile at. “You wish to seek our help?” Alpha Zolan asked, watching me closely. I nodded and took a deep breath before launching into my tale. “I am sure you have heard of the prophecy”, I said. “I had always believed it to be a tale concocted to preserve hope in the hearts of the werewolves, but I was wrong”, I told him. “I lost my mate as a very young wolf during the attack of Blackmoon pack”, I said, and saw the pain of understanding in his eyes. He too had lost his mate. “ I had given up on ever finding another before I met my current mate”, I said.

I purred. He was silent for a while, before taking in a deep breath and exhaling. “There’s more to the prophecy than what you know.” My heart thudded. “What do you mean?” Eric stepped closer, his gaze intense. “The Blood Moon. If neither you nor your mother kills each other when it rises, the world will be thrown off balance. The mystics’ powers — the wolves’ strength, the vampires’ immortality, the witches’ magic — will spin out of control, consuming the world in chaos. That’s the part of the prophecy my father doesn’t want you or anyone else to know.”

She hadn’t even noticed Aiden and Killian staring at her until she dropped the phone. Then, through the drifting clouds, he saw it. The moon. Once silver. Now red. The blood moon had risen. The prophecy had begun.
