A commanding voice shattered the silence. “Line up!” Every first-year flinched, snapping into formation with trembling knees. Kael’s eyes flicked over them, noting the obvious weaklings, those whose muscles twitched too visibly, whose breathing betrayed their panic. Most would falter again in the Trial of Blades. Only a handful had even the faintest hope of surviving what came next. At the front, Master Harken stepped forward, armor glinting dimly under the gray sky. His gaze swept over Kael and lingered a moment too long, a thin, predatory smile crossing his lips.

The impact rattled my arms. “You talk too much for a kitten,” I shot back. Behind me, I heard Pelin grunt as Scorpio struck. His tail whipped toward her, fast as lightning. She blocked with her Hellblade, sparks spraying as venom hissed into the sand. “You missed again, Pelin,” Scorpio snarled. “That was your best? So pathetic.” “I have a pretty good aim,” Pelin snapped. “You just haven’t tasted my steel yet. Mr. Mehmet taught me.”

Hayley smirked, “I know she is the best teacher anyone can have.” Niam smiled as well. “The teacher that I had to put down, were you able to find her? I hope not.” Hayley glared at her but this time before she can do anything she screamed as she felt she was stabbed from behind She looked behind her and saw Jasmine with a very angry face and a manic expression, she had stabbed her with a knife.

SpeedBlade: I roar as I charge toward Lightning Storm, my sword in my hand. Running right up to the villain, I shove him back and prepare to strike him with my sword. However, as I am swinging my sword, I see out of the corner of my helmet three arrows directly in front of me. "Oh no," I say, seeing a tiny, blinking red light on them. It's too late. Even with my speed, I still can't get away in time. The arrows all explode. I scream once more as I'm knocked back, my sword falling out of my hand while I drop to the floor.

“You’re not meant to be Alpha Ryu.” An outburst of laughter erupted behind me. It was Ryu, and he was hideous, with blood rolling out of his eyes and a silver sword in his hands. I suppose someone had given it to him while Kyle was busy speaking. “I slashed your hand, and you think you’ll survive my sword aura?” He chuckled, his hands on the handle as he swung it towards Kyle. I felt the heat as the air from the blade moved towards Kyle. “So this is Sword Aura.” I murmured, “Is he an elemental?”

His friends immediately hooted at him for getting rejected. Sighing, I turned away to look at the swimmers. To my avail, they had their eyes fixed on me, even Zachariah. His Adam apple bobbing up and down as he starred at me with those beautiful hooded eyes that had got me captivated. He hastily turned around, showing his chiseled back to me. “Let the tournament of 2022 begin.” The boy---Hades, yelled in the mic, the huge crowd erupted in cheers. The thumping of the music getting louder and louder by each passing minute.

Silvia asked hopefully looking up at Rasmus. "They were taken off guard by our sudden attack," Rasmus said. "The guy in the video said that I told him to kill you. Don't you think they should be waiting for you?" Rasmus' eyes narrowed as he pondered hard. Her arm was seized in a rough grip and she was pulled away from Rasmus. "Enough." Hunter roared coldly causing her to flinch.

Alejandro said as though he was having a normal conversation causing Blade's eyes to widen. Slaughter walked towards Blade, and before Blade could fathom what Slaughter was about to do, he found his thumb in Slaughter's hands, throwing it up and down as though it was some kid's toy. "Argh!!!!" Blade yelped in pain as his blood poured on the floor. His eyes closed as he couldn't stand the sight of his own blood or his thumb in Slaughter's hands looking like some toy. "He is not sharper than my blades," Slaughter confirmed and bowed on the floor before walking out with wishes that he would get called again.

I quip loudly. Blade got to his feet and Helen examined me from head to toe from where she sat. Blade was wearing a black flannel shirt with his leather jacket some very nice jeans and shoes. He gave a boyish smile and approached me. "You look beautiful as always," he compliments taking my hand in his. "You looking dashing," I return the compliment with a smile and wink. "Nice outfit," Helen calls and Victor nodded his agreement. "Ready?" Blade asks and I nodded. "Don't wait up for me," I call loudly to Helen and Victor.
