It was the merging of the Book of Life and the Book of Death. Its cover bore both black and white, radiating a celestial and hellish glow simultaneously. The energy surrounding it felt balanced yet immense.

I feel a powerful surge of energy coursing through me, and I realize that Liam is using his powers again. Yes-yes-yes! The ground beneath our feet begins to tremble, and I see vines and roots start to grow from the earth, wrapping themselves around the zombie dragon’s legs. It roars and flails, but the vines hold it tight, and Liam and I seize the opportunity to strike back. With a final, coordinated effort, we both lunge forward with all our might, plunging our claws deep into the zombie dragon’s heart. It shrieks in agony, thrashing wildly, but it’s too late. Liam and I have dealt the killing blow.
