“This time? I’m feeling a little less generous.” Yvonne, who had been holding the elevator, waved frantically. “Row! Get in, now!” I ran. The doors slid shut just as David turned to deal with Max. I made it to the third floor. But I was still too late.

"So will the transfer of Jupiter to the old greenhouse in home care be done now, Alpha Max?" I played another one. "No." "I'm sorry, but can I know why?" "No." "So you still want to keep Jupiter in Pandora in this basement?" "Yes." "Fine then. I will order the others to disperse from their respective positions." "Yes." After that I turned off the call. And I threw myself on the bed. Surprise after surprise kept coming. Jupiter, who I was looking for all over this city, turned out to be very close to me. It turned out that Jupiter was under the same roof with me every day. It turned out that we were only a few floors apart.

Juliette glanced at Jazz, then back at the guy. "Juliette Kerson," Juliette muttered. She was suddenly worried that people might be able to hear her brain function. Doctor Sybers yelped as his pen suddenly exploded from his excessive clicking, the ink splattered across his coat. "You two are Juliette and Jasmine?" He asked, wiping at his fingers over the ink, only spreading the blue ink and staining his fingers. "Yeah..." "Where are you staying, is this really your room?" "No. We just stayed the night here after...nevermind."

She said and pulled her out of the noisy hall even though she kept staggering due to how drunk she was and her right hand was trying to hold her steady. They entered a quiet room that wasn't too far and Luna closed the door before turning to her right hand. She took the bracelet from her and closed her eyes. She saw an image of a new born baby and she knew an alpha was born. He needed to be mated immediately, she smiled as she opened her eyes and staggered off to the chair in the room and sat down "an alpha has been born" she said and summoned on her right hand to come closer "get the destiny booklet"

I clear my throat, “-everyone.” Blue again. Jax furrows and I could tell he is addressing his wolf. Leaning closer to me, worrying his bottom lip with his even teeth, while I feast on his cleft chin. “Red sounds smart.” My wolf blushes with Jax’s words about her and we all ignore Blue.

Two from the others that got answered. We move at midnight, Damien said. Everyone nodded and the room shifted again into a third kind of quiet. The quiet before. I looked at the photograph of the facility one more time. Second floor. East wing. Third door. Yellow nightlight. I pushed back my chair. Ria followed me into the hallway. She grabbed my arm and turned me around and hugged me hard without saying anything. I held on for a moment. Just a moment. Then I stepped back. I need you to eat something and try to sleep for a few hours, she said. You’re going to need to be sharp tonight and you haven’t eaten properly since breakfast.

Avery rolled her eyes at how bossy he was being so early in the morning, he walked in and sat on the single chair that was in the room, Avery followed closed the door and went back to her bed. “You’re still in your pyjamas?” “Is there a problem?” “And you are aware it’s almost midday?” “So what?” “I see you don’t have plans on leaving your room today” “Yes, yes I don’t, who knows I might step outside and get myself killed”.

A hidden trapdoor snapped open. "If I can't have the pack, nobody can!" Harden screamed. He was holding a small remote in his hand. The walls began to glow with a strange, red light. Explosives. Harden had rigged his own home to blow up with everyone inside. "Sylvia, jump!" Kaelen yelled, grabbing me. But the explosion was faster. A wall of fire ripped through the room, separating me from Kaelen. The ceiling began to collapse, and the last thing I saw was Harden’s twisted, smiling face as the floor fell away beneath me.

The floor is covered in black feathers—hundreds of them, thousands, piled like snow. And in the center of the room, where the bed once stood, there is a hole. Not a hole in the floor. A hole in the world. It is small. No wider than my fist. But it bleeds darkness. Real darkness. The kind that has weight. The kind that whispers. I step closer. The air grows cold. My breath fogs. "Alpha," Dain says behind me. "Do not---" I kneel. I look into the hole.
