"Just you. The girl stays here." "No." Aria's voice was hard. "She comes with me or I don't move." Maya sighed. "Fine. But she stays quiet." They walked into the building. Inside was cooler. Darker. Lit by torches instead of electricity. Symbols carved into the walls. Old magic humming in the air. A guard led them down a hallway. Through a set of heavy doors. The room inside was huge. A war room. Maps covering the walls. Tables covered in documents. And standing at the center, looking at a map of pack territories—

The chains hooked to Cheryl's arms and legs suddenly yanked in opposite directions. The gears connected to them spun violently, and her body was torn into several large pieces in an instant. Blood splattered everywhere. The mangled pieces of her body hung from the ceiling of the chamber. The speakers crackled again. "Unfortunately, even after several rounds, you still haven't identified the undercover agent. But since everyone has participated so enthusiastically, we will adjust the rules of the game. "Only one of you may leave this room alive. The two of you must negotiate.

I followed the length of the rusted chains - they were locked around an old water heater. I pulled with all my might, but the chains wouldn't budge. I scanned my surroundings, looking for something that I could use to set myself free - trying to find a way out. The room was small and despite the warm light filtering through, it felt musty and cold. It was mostly empty save for a rickety wooden table and a single chair in the far corner, a tiny rusted stove with a dented kettle on top of it, and a weathered iron bed in the opposite corner with a flimsy blanket rumpled on top of it.

“And I can remember you claiming that you never slept with another woman. Isn't it right, Alpha Julian? Were you lying to us last time, Alpha Julian?” “It’s not what it looks like.” Julian’s voice cut through the stillness. Unlike the Council members who spoke softly, he was loud and desperate. “I… I was careless, yes, but I never stopped loving Elena. She is my Luna. I've always loved her. These—these are mistakes, not betrayals.” Mistakes?

I found the room and had no idea when I bathed in. Liam was already taking of his shirt. I looked down at my feet. “I’m sorry Alpha.” I said. “What do you want?” He asked me as if my presence made no specific differences. I cleared my throat. “I saw the room you gave me.” I said. “But I’ll have to run it down.” He looked at me sharply. “You said what?” He asked me. I felt my voice begin to shake. “I can’t stay in the room you gave me. Thank you for the offer. But it’s too grand for me.”

She buried herself under her blankets, letting the silence consume her as she tried to ignore the pounding of her own heart. In the dimness of her room, as daylight faded and the shadows grew long, Channary clutched her pillow, sinking deeper into her shame. The Moon had betrayed her, left her vulnerable, her mate unclaimed. She was the Alpha’s daughter, Moon-Kissed and blessed, yet here she was, abandoned and marked only by the emptiness of broken promises.

But I am sure of one thing: Lolita knows where Marlowe is. I just have to get her to tell me. “Can you hear me?” I yell into the air. The silence seems to hum, but it’s just the fluorescent light burning above my head, flickering almost imperceptibly. They’ve shut off the spotlight they’ve been shining on me - I see it mounted in the far corner of the room. I’m glad they’ve given up on that technique. In the other corner, there’s a security camera, a red light blinking beneath its lens.

I quickly rushed to the dancing head and placed the heavy chair that was in her room on it so it could stop dancing and splashing more blood everywhere. I wasted no time taking the body to the sport I arranged in the Alpha's secret room and returned to take the head; however, as I was rushing back to the room, I sighted an omega that seemed to be heading to the Alpha's mother room. This sent a shiver down my spine, and I thought I was done for the moment. Fortunately, she walked past the door and started climbing the staircase, going to the third floor. I sneaked out and hurriedly ran to the room, taking the remaining part to the Alpha's room.

Then I turned left and found the main entrance. "Alpha Matthew will be mad if he finds out you leave your room." He said again. Now he was walking beside me. How about Lilith? I asked her to wait in the room. "What's your name?" "Paul." "Don't worry, Paul. I will tell your Alpha that you try to stop me, but I insist on going." There was no way I would stop. It was my mate they talked about. "Luna Hannah!" He tried not to shout at me, frustrated with my stubbornness.

Leila smiled, waved her hand and then pointed at Kihara with an helpless ‘she made me do it’ expression. “Kihara.” Brody smiled at her. “Let us in.” Brody hesitated. Kihara glared at him. “Uh. I’ll run it by the Alpha first.” He was about to turn around to ask, but Kihara had grown impatient. She pushed the door open with all her strength until Brody conceded to her. The room was dark and bare save for the table in the corner and the curtains covering the windows. A lantern burned on the table, bright enough to illuminate parts of it. Asher and Victor sat around it, their faces animated as they discussed. Kihara walked in and the men paused.
