Chapter 1 I woke slowly with my head pounding, feeling very disoriented. It was pitch black in my room as I opened my eyes. I reached over to turn my bedroom lamp on, but felt nothing. Where was my lamp? And then it all came back flooding to me. Liam kidnapped. Claire and the pack missing. The imprint.

🌙 ⸻ 🌙 Another Dream That night, Ilyaan dreamed again. 👁️ He stood in front of the black door. The silver eye glowed brighter than before. ✨ The mysterious voice returned. “You’re getting closer.” 😨 “Closer to what?” Ilyaan asked. Silence. Then— The door slowly opened. 💥 For the first time, he stepped inside. 🌑 Darkness surrounded him. Cold air touched his skin. And somewhere in the distance… Someone was crying.

The sterile white room began to wobble, the flickering lights spinning into a dark, blurry drain that pulled at my consciousness. My knees buckled completely, my body going slack as I sank back against his suit jacket. I tried to fight it, tried to hold on to awareness, but the darkness was too strong, too insistent. As the absolute darkness rushed in to swallow me whole, dragging me down into unconsciousness, a faint, twisted whisper vibrated right against my ear - intimate, possessive, triumphant. "Sweet dreams, wifey." The words followed me down into the void, echoing in the last fragments of my consciousness before everything went black.

It was as if her feet were in an invisible lake of quicksand, sinking fast. When she tried to look around, all she saw was the forest or herself in it. She realized that she could no longer see herself clearly. It was as if someone was painting her picture onto the back of her eyelids, making her blindfolded. Or maybe it's not her eyes that are blindfolded. Maybe everything around her is just painted by itself. She wondered what color her eyes would be when she woke up after this nightmare. Her hazel-blue eyes are black. Maybe black means 'dark' or 'darkness'. She couldn't remember the word.

The voice echoed again through the ancient hollow, rumbling like a forgotten thunder: “We did not take your vision, child.” Samantha’s breath caught in her throat. The tears that had stained her cheeks froze in place as a strange warmth coursed through her chest. She blinked rapidly, still surrounded by suffocating darkness, but somehow it no longer felt like blindness—it felt like… a waiting. “A-Am I dreaming?” she whispered, trembling. “Why can’t I see then, ancient spirits? Why is it so dark?”

A thin mist clung to his eyes as he stared at me in confusion. I raised an eyebrow and leaned slightly closer. I’ll teach you a game. If you do well, once the game is over, I’ll hand you Langford Group. Meanwhile, Evan sat restlessly spinning the glass in his hand, then tilted his head back and downed his third shot of hard liquor. He had pretended to be drunk earlier. Clearly, he had been offering Clara a way out. But why did she have to be so ungrateful? Bianca sat beside him and spoke as if the thought had only just occurred to her.

"I just feel like trusting you... And I know Tyson too, he is a trouble" Mira closed her eyes, feeling his eyes on her. "Can you keep the light dim? I don't like darkness." Damon switched on the dim lights and watched her falling asleep. Her face looked peaceful and serene. He smiled and pushed away all the pillows while pulling her closer. He knows she doesn't wake up once she is asleep. It was also the realisation for him that she doesn't have insomnia like Durga suggested, she only gets panic attacks whenever she feels threatened.

Rebecca held out the glass of water, but there was no response from the woman in front of her. "This is the glass, the right side of that arm of yours!" Rebecca said telling the position of the glass, "What's wrong with your eyesight, did they ruin it just like yours?" "Sicily, my name is Sicily. I've been blind since I was 10 years old. Back then my mum omega 2 fought to defend me from Luna's attack. I gave up for the safety of my mum and dad," Sicily explained unprompted. "Hem, then what happened after that?" asked Rebecca.

Again she was out. The next time she woke up, it was in a big room, to beeping. A slow ache was all over her body, but she felt light. Happy? She couldn't follow a train of thought but she did know one thing, she still couldn't see from her right eye. Thought could she? It was dark, but she could sense specks of light coming through from somewhere. She raised her hands to touch her face and felt something. Cotton? Paper? Something was on it to hide her vision. “Kyle, she is up!” she heard Madison say.
