A rare moment of peace in my otherwise demanding life. Suddenly, a blinding flash of white light erupted in my mind, jarring me from my tranquil moment. It was a vision, stark and vivid. I suddenly saw a group of strange, unfamiliar figures, their faces hidden in shadows, infiltrating the Red Den. Their movements were swift and calculated, their purpose clear - to break someone out of his strict custody. The vision was fleeting, gone as quickly as it had arrived, leaving me with a gnawing sense of unease.

BLINDED BY REVENGE CHAPTER ONE Bellona had the same terrifying dream again. She saw her parents being pursued and then killed right in front of her. Their blood flowed on the ground as their blank eyes stared up at her. Their killer who wore a mask pointed at her. "You are next!" he said menacingly. Bellona woke up. Her heart was pounding very fast and she still felt the fear that she had felt in her dream. She got up from bed and went to drink water.

"Go back to sleep, I'll still be here when you awake. " The water runs coldly down my back but I don't shiver. My mind is elsewhere as I stare blankly at the white walls. Blood thumbs in my ear wildly and the soap slowly slips from my skin. I'm just too traumatized to do anything. I'm going crazy, I just know it. All I can see every time I sleep are just the same two persons: a girl that seems to be Belle, yet I'm more than acquainted with her feelings for her to be someone else than me; but I know with certainty those images aren't mine. And definitely the man is Aiden. A less fightening, calmer side to Aiden now, but Aiden just the same.

She'd rather be back in California in her small room, laying in bed and daydreaming about how her life would've been if she haven't had this stupid disease that left her in darkness forever. Bonnie missed her mother, hell she even misses her bastard of a father that left when she was three. She missed her dog, Egg. Oh I hope he's okay. She also missed her annoying best friend Becca. Her heart clenched as tears begin to run down her face. She sniffed taking a deep breath and wiped the tears but it was no use because more came running down. She gave up and let them fall. How was she going to escape this place if she was blind?

For the first time in months, I slept through the night without pills, without nightmares clawing me back to consciousness, drenched in sweat and guilt. Instead, I dreamed of soft hands on my skin, gentle whispers in the darkness. Dreamed of Tamara curled beside me in my bed, her warmth chasing away the ghosts that usually hunt me through sleep. The dream felt so real I woke harder than steel, my body aching for something I can't allow myself to want. Blyad. The woman is already under my skin, and she hasn't even started carrying my child yet. My phone buzzes with a message that makes my lips curl up with satisfaction.

So is the wine glass on the nightstand, half-full and left there because no one is going to complain about it. She is forty-five years old, and she is not unhappy. That is, she realizes, a catastrophic thing to be. The heart attack is fast, which she will later understand as mercy. There is no dramatic final thought, no parade of faces. There is only the crack in the ceiling and then the particular absence of everything — and then, with no transition she can account for, there is light. Fluorescent. Institutional. The kind that hums. "Serra." She blinks.
