Elowen POV. The leather sofa in VIP Room Three still held the warmth of the last client. I could feel it through the thin crimson silk barely covering my body as I adjusted my position, making sure every angle was perfect. The jeweled mask sat secure against my face, catching the low amber light, hiding everything that mattered while showing everything that didn't. My red hair fell in waves over my bare shoulders. No brown wig or oversized cardigan swallowing my curves tonight. Tonight, I was Nyx, and Nyx didn't hide.

Laura asked staring at the screen, a picture of a mask. "Ahh, I think the colour is too shiny" Alex said as they stared at the sky blue mask. "But we can still make it black instead of blue right?" Elena asked. "But it still looks childish. Seriously what's up with the feathers on the edges of the mask?" Alex still protested. "I think he is right " Laura said as they stared at the mask. "Ok then, let's see the next one" Elena said as Laura click the next button. "Ah ah, this one looks too bad" Peter said as she click the the next button.

Dark burst out laughing and quickly removed the mask from his face, even though it was difficult to take off. While Roxane watched her husband struggling to remove it, she realized the mask Dark/Gravon was wearing wasn’t ordinary at all. Its texture looked like human skin—smooth, with faint lines resembling veins, and a natural color almost identical to a real complexion. Even the nose, lips, and jaw were perfectly molded, as if they had been taken directly from Gravon Calvez’s actual face. “Wow…” she whispered, unable to stop herself from stepping closer and touching his cheek. “It looks… it looks like a real face!”

Who knows how long this person has been following or watching my every move. I turned defensive training kicking in automatically, but the attacker moved with inhuman speed. A figure cloaked in what appeared to be living darkness lunged toward me, face obscured by a mask that seemed to absorb light rather than reflect it. The mask itself was featureless except for two narrow eye-slits that revealed nothing of the person behind it. I couldn't yell if this person was a male or female.

This mask isn’t just fashionable, it was designed by Black Eagle and must be handled delicately. Unlike any of the other masks mine has been outfitted with a transmitter, as well as a small computer system designed to send information through nearly invisible lenses. It's so specialized that I know Katelyn Rose had to have crafted it, even though it was “Ms Smith” who handed it to me.

Armor designed to look like cloth. Articulated plates so thin and so precisely fitted to the body beneath that they moved like skin. And the mask. The mask was what stopped her breath for half a second. White. Perfectly smooth. Featureless. No eye holes. No mouth. No nose. No indication of how the person beneath it could see or breathe. Just a blank white oval. A face that was no face at all. *The Wolf Without a Face,* Luna thought. And felt with absolute certainty that she was not the first to think exactly that.

In the mirror, the reflection was that of a scholarly gentleman—not exceptionally handsome, but at least refined and gentle in appearance. Curiosity stirred within Clarence, so he asked, "This mask is so thin. How does it change the shape of my nose and cheeks?" Ryan smiled. "It doesn't, not truly. Your face remains the same. But if you hold it up under the sunlight and look closely, you'll notice a bit of color in certain places, either pale pinks or greys. When it's placed on your face, those colors mimic natural shadows and skin tones, creating the illusion of shape. That's how we sculpt your features without changing them. If it weren't for needing that effect, the mask wouldn't have tak

Similarly, he wore a mask that was similar to the other Night Empire warriors with the only difference being the silver and purple detailing that signified his position. The face mask was a three-dimensional Dragon face made of light weight, highly impact resistant metal, black in colour with its features detailed in purple and silver, where the only exposed part was the eyes; the area of the mouth had a mechanical contraption that moved with the jaw movement and also allowed intake of food and drinks without having to be taken off. The other peculiarity of the mask was that it was fastened at the neck and could only be taken off by the fingerprint of the owner or his superior from the Night

And if I am not mistaken, did he just blush or something? He is still looking away, like there is something he is looking at and he is interested in it. But he is just looking at the rode obviously trying to avoid my eyes. His long beautiful eyelashes flex as he look at an opposite direction. The color of his eyes also brighten. It also highlighted the angle of his sharp jaws, and the pinkish color of his cheeks. His rep lips are looking so sweet- NO! What the freak Amira, stop! I slightly shook my head as I try to remove my worldly desires. Damn! Stop fantasizing!

Bri just smiled, catching herself in the mirror. Bri I found myself staring at a me I didn’t recognize. I was staring back at a woman who was strong and bold. One with fire in her veins and a heart full of love. Celeste handed me my mask. A beautifully crafted piece, its silver glittered and shone in the light. The designs were cut out so my skin would peak through but my identity would be hidden. The fleur de lis on my brow, the sweeps and swirls of floral designs were etched gracefully, each side the same as the other. White feathers accented the tips of the ears while crystals adorned the brow, in the center and in strategic places across the design. Sweeps and curls depicting whiskers wo
