Yara’s Pov “I’ve never met a blind person who was so mean and wicked.” Beth’s voice cut through the room like a blade, sharp and unapologetic. She stepped forward without hesitation, completely ignoring the gun in Daniel’s hand and the tension hanging in the air. Her eyes stayed on me, steady and mocking, as if the weapon meant nothing at all. “But you,” she continued, tilting her head slightly, “you’re the exception.” Daniel stiffened beside me. I could feel the shift in his body even before he spoke, the subtle readiness of a man used to command and violence.

Without the two of them know, a pair of eyes stared blankly with an increasingly devastating feeling. …………… ..

It was an expression I had seen countless times on my family…anger born out of helplessness. “What just happened?” He asked in a hoarse voice. “My vision went blank for a couple minutes.” I shrugged, trying to make the situation casual, but I wasn’t able to lighten the mood. “Why didn’t you tell me your vision goes blank?” Lyric asked; an edge to his voice. “It’s nothing to worry about,” I waved him off. “It’s just the position of the bullet. It sometimes rubs off on a few nerves and it causes the blank visions.”

My patience was wearing thin as I waited for Blaze to emerge, eager to savor the moment of his demise. The assault raged on, yet there was no sign of the traitor. I began to wonder if he had managed to escape, but then I spotted a cluster of Necromancers off to one side, their invisibility spell shattered by our magic. And there, standing behind them, was Blaze. His expression was detached, a mask of indifference that only served to fuel my anger. I knew that look all too well… it was the vacant stare of the undead.

But when he left the unit, he saw Blake in the lobby area, he was seated on the sofa, looking not himself as he was so pale and staring somewhere blankly. Mingchan stopped from running around and was looking at Blake, four meters away from him. Blake then felt someone was staring at him and he slowly lifted up his head. His eyes widened when he saw Mingchan staring at him. “Mingchan!” He uttered to his surprise. He wanted to leave the lobby area but his knees and legs were shaking. ‘How can I face him?!’ Blake thought and he was really scared about his what ifs. He was really prepared once Mingchan punched him.

I hesitated for a bit before I stretched my hands and covered it above the cards and then I picked one and turned it over. The smile on his face dropped very quickly, he stared at me with sharp eyes now, I glanced at the card that I picked and it was white and blank. What does a blank card mean? I asked myself. “Pick another card,” he ordered sternly. This time I hesitated longer, and glanced towards Daniel who also had a confused look, he shrugged not knowing what was happening either. Luke seemed a bit agitated and also a bit restless as he adjusted his collar in anticipation of the next card.

Justin let out a low chuckle as he spanked my ass once again while I trembled against him. “Pick a blindfold, stunning.” Justin murmured after a few seconds, pointing at the two blindfolds which were citrently being held up by Blaze. One was black and the other was white, I personally liked the white one, it was one of my favorites because aside it being decorated with real diamonds, it gave me this illusion that I was innocent, when indeed, I wasn’t. “The white one.” I watched and gulped as Blaze moved towards me, “I’ll miss staring into these gorgeous eyes.” Blaze murmured right before the blindfold covered my eyes, cascading me in complete darkness which I eagerly welcomed.
