Right.” Now it was my turn again, and I decided to mix things up a bit. “Okay, now I need to know—what's your favorite type of movie?” Blaze’s eyes gleamed. “Mystery-thriller. The darker, the better,” he replied, his voice laced with a hint of intensity, as if he’d just revealed a part of himself that not many people knew about.

It turned out Joyce racked up millions in debt abroad, and creditors came knocking. Colin cut ties with her, refusing to help. Bitter, Joyce set a fire while he slept. He was rescued but badly burned. Hearing about my wedding, he rushed to see me. He missed the treatment window, and his legs were ruined. I was shocked, thinking how hard this must be for Lauren.

Percy started to drag the vampires on the ground at the corner to burn them together as ordered by his king.

In the gang, he was the only one Sandro trusted not to run his mouth about anything that happened in his room. But they weren't always as messy as this. He had been tempted to stride into the room and yanked the horsewhip from his hand but going against him was the last thing he wanted. Blaze's eyes narrowed as he stared at her pale face, which was scrunched up. He pulled out a cigarette from his pocket and a lighter. "No smoking here." Francis scowled. "I forgot," Blaze mumbled. He placed the cigarette back in the box and heaved a breath.

Blaze is looking at the front mirror, waiting to see my reaction from the mirror, which is none. Blaze picked a small cafe ten minutes driving from the campus, it's his favorite place to enjoy his coffee. He sits at his favorite spot and order his special drinks; Ice hazelnut coffee with more topping and cream, he wants a pack of macarons and a choco churros. My eyes bulging wide, "You'll eat everything?" Blaze shrugged his shoulder, giving me a positive answer. "Choose your drinks! The ice matcha is pretty good, want some?" Blaze offered me his second favorites.

But what can I say, I know a lot people like him when I was his age. “I’m drinking with my friends.” He replied and just as I thought, he was out here living his teenage life. He reached for his pocket and fished a black nondescript Zippo lighter. He flipped the base lid of the lighter and a bright orange and yellow varying hue of flame came out to life. He popped the mint from the center of the cigarette's butt first before eventually lighting it. "Your lighter is cool." I said looking at the lighter. "Thanks, I just stole it from my dad's collection.” He spat. He lit the stick and then subsequently puffed a smoke. “He has a lot of these. He won't even notice this one’s missing."

"I have a final exam today, I need to go out." She declared. "Of course, go and do your best!" He had no choice but to do as she pleased. "Mira, but please hide bruises on your face with makeup, it's not looking good..." He brought her makeup from her room and forced her to hide her bruises. Mira got up and grabbed her bag which was still laying on the floor since last night. She opened the drawer and placed his lighter and cigarette on the counter, knowing he will use it sooner or later.

Air surged outward, catching the flame and pushing it back. The fire didn’t die. It grew. Blaze’s eyes flickered. “Again,” he said quietly. I lifted my hand. Fire answered this time. Not just mine. His. The two flames met between us— And fused. The heat spiked instantly. Not doubling. Multiplying. The circle glowed brighter. White-orange. Blaze stepped forward. “So that’s new,” he said. “Very new.” I pushed more air into the mix. The fire surged higher. Blaze didn’t pull back.

She didn’t know whether he would be back that night, or when. But first, she had to get everything else ready. She got up and went to the spot where Chris usually kept his lighters. She pulled open the drawer and grabbed one at random. Because the lights were off, she didn’t notice the familiar lighter lying beside it. It was the black one from New Year’s Eve, the one she had accidentally scratched with a piece of wire when they released those floating lanterns. Winter held the lighter in her hand and thought everything through. She couldn’t start the fire too early. If she did, Chris would still be away, and the bodyguards would put it out too fast.
