The water spout, as wild and powerful as a tornado, crashed down, snuffing out the flames instantly. Gasps of astonishment rippled through the crowd. Rendok's face turned pale with shock. "I'm no ordinary werewolf. I guess you didn't do your research," Blaze said, his voice dripping with mockery and contempt. Blaze raised his hands, and from his palms, brilliant light beams shot out, piercing through the air with deadly precision. The dragons became targets in his deadly game, each beam striking with unerring accuracy.

"Actually, tell him Mira Moretti sent her regards. Now get out before you melt." My men moved through the aisles, splashing gasoline over crates of expensive drugs and imported weapons. The smell was sharp and sweet. I pulled a silver lighter from my pocket, the one Salvatore gave me for my eighteenth birthday. I flicked it. The small flame danced in the dark warehouse. "Burn it," I said. I tossed the lighter onto a trail of gas. Whoosh. The fire climbed the walls in seconds, turning the dark room into a bright, orange hell. I walked out slowly, the heat at my back, feeling the roar of the flames in my bones.

The pungent smell fills the air, and I can already feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins. Once satisfied with the trail I've left, I exit the building. At a safe distance, I flick open my lighter, the flame dancing in the darkness. Without hesitation, I toss it into the kerosene-soaked path. Instantly, the fire ignites, roaring to life as it consumes the restaurant.

"I'm surprised Jarvis's loyalty laid elsewhere than with you. He didn't say anything?" I shook my head, loosening my folded arms to bring out a pack of cigarette from the pocket at the pack of my jean. "Guess there’s someone out there he fears more than me and that pisses me off. Got a lighter with you?" I asked Elias as I shook a single cigarette stick out and placed the tip in between my lips. He pushed his hand into the front of his pocket and brought a red coloured lighter out, tossing it to me. I caught and flicked it, letting the flame from it light up the other end of the blunt in a crackling sound.

She wasn't frightened, but she knew. "While it's for that," Blaze growled, his voice rough and low. He knelt on the earth in front of her, big hands expertly building a fire out of a little pile of tinder. His aroma, a mixture of smoke and pine, filled the air. "A fire warms cold wood." "Is that the way you see me, Blaze?" she stated, gazing at the little flames just beginning to flicker into existence. "A fire? A warmth-giver?"

The early light of dawn painted the landscape in periwinkle hues, and had I not been all consumed with the taste of ash on my tongue I would have marveled at what a beautiful morning it was.
