I grabbed a lighter from the desk and pointed it at one of the photos, the one where Emily stood confidently, her beauty was undeniable, yet distant. "How dare you reject me." my voice cracked, I flicked the lighter and watched as the flame caught the edge of the picture. The photo crackled and curled at the edges as the fire consumed it. My eyes never left the flames. The once beautiful image of Emily turned to ash, but it did nothing to quench the fury inside me.

Computers sat smashed across several tables. Then my breath caught. Because I recognized the photographs. Me. Everywhere. My stomach dropped. There were pictures of me leaving work, pictures of me shopping, pictures of me with Nina, pictures from years ago. Years. My skin crawled. "What the hell..." Nobody answered because they were staring too. Blaze looked furious. Colt looked ready to kill somebody. Damon looked terrifyingly calm, which was always worse. I slowly stepped closer. One photograph showed me outside my old apartment. Another showed me talking to Nina. Another showed me with Travis.

The image was imperfect, but it didn't need to be clear to stir something deep within him. It was her. He recognized the lines of her face instantly, even through the blurred resolution of the footage. He remembered those bruises were faint but visible, darkened shadows along her cheekbone and jaw. Yet it wasn't her injuries that had caught his attention, it was the look in her eyes. Even in the still frame, they burned with defiance, a stubborn fire that refused to be extinguished. He sat forward, his elbows resting on his knees as he studied the photo. The faintest hint of a smirk touched his lips, though his gaze remained sharp and cold.

But fury, it made people psychotic. And that was exactly how I felt. I was past making sense. I no longer felt anything except deep loathing and fury. Nothing else mattered. The little humanity left inside of me was gone the instant I laid eyes on the photos in my hands. Fury boiled inside of me as I imagined the multiple ways to mutilate Raffaele’s body. My fingers tightened on the pictures until they crumbled in my fist. Closing my eyes, I threw the photo across the room, not caring where it landed. I just needed it out of my sight.

Blaze used his one hand to throttle her as he picked her up slowly. “You…did this….This is your fault you piece of shit. I hope you die the same way.”, Blaze growled as his eyes started to glow bright blue. “I-I’m….s….s….sorry…”, Zara tried to speak as she struggled to get out of his grip. “Blaze, let her down right now!”, Zoey demanded as her eyes glowed bright red. Blaze tried to kill her but his body didn’t follow. End of flashback Blaze took out the last box from his room and packed it into the car and was about to walk back into the house when someone called out to him. He turned around to find Zara standing with a grey gift bag.

When the chanting finally comes to an end a huge blast of power hits me and all of us are thrown across the circle. I see Annabelle, Tabitha and Emelia all hit the ground. I look quickly to see if Arizer has got here with Reid and there they are running through the clearing towards us. That's when Blaze spins her head round and see's Reid, the fury on her face is clearly visible even from this distance and in the dark. She raises her arms, and you can see the power radiate from her and you could tell this wasn't going to go well. I didn't know what to do.

POV: Blaze Ryder "Stop pulling at them, Blaze! You’re not just hitting shadow; you’re hitting your own words!" Rhea’s voice was a frantic chime in the oppressive silence of the Between. Blaze didn't listen. He roared, his russet Alpha flame exploding from his skin in a desperate, jagged halo as he threw his shoulder against the translucent chains binding her to the throne.
