The Next Day Lira's POV The air inside the arena pulses with electricity as we cheer the team, waving the pom-pom in our hands. Dressed in a super tight uniform—red and white—the sir nibbles at my exposed skin. It isn’t a game—it’s just a rehearsal between the team members. There’s a competition between Moonfang and Moon Eclipse college in four months’ time and of course Coach Daniel has ordered the team to start rehearsing immediately. The team are split into two squads—each with six members—red jerseys against white, moving through the scrimmage as Coach Daniel barks out orders from the bench.

I smiled at Doms words and kissed his forehead. "Alright next up is Blaine. You will be orange squad and will be on the right flank of the field here. Manfred you're green squad and will be positioned here. You're more so the reserves incase we need more hands on the field here but you'll also give help to Brendon and his suad should he need it. Brendon you'll be black squad and be positioned here. Your job is essentially the same as Kyles in helping people get out, theres not many houses though at the south entrance though it's mostly businesses and shops." I said marking up the map as I went.

At least I do not have to face a Baxter tirade like Logan. My idiot brother is red-faced and humiliated. “Who else do we have?” I ask, raising a brow. She lists them off: “Clint Harrison from Eclipse, and Neil Reed from Night Howlers.” Her grin suggests she is thrilled with our group, and so am I. Four tough packs represented, plus Zahra the total badass.

I bend over to clutch my stomach when Lea jumps on my back with her full weight, preventing me from breathing, never mind me getting to the door on time. "You're...you're supposed to be the nice one, Lea," I say in a hoarse voice, in pain and still trying to regain my breathing. "We're supposed to be a team.
