“You’ll probably want to eat down here,” Blink warned, setting two longish narrow plates on the tiny galley table. “And no footsie, Andrew,” he continued jokingly. “There’s barely enough room for you to sit as it is.”
“It smells wonderful.” Evelyn hurried down the four narrow steps descending into the ship’s cabin. “What have you fixed today, Blink?”
She ducked underneath the captain’s raised arm to reach the table, as he handed Andrew a lime-capped clear bottle of a golden beer. “I traded the fish we caught at Emerald Cove for some seafood taco fixings. You’ll enjoy this, missus, believe me.”
