*** Amy woke up and immediately reached for her phone, hoping for an update from the detective. Her heart skipped a beat—there was a message. She opened it. The video was clearer this time. The car’s plate number was visible. Her phone buzzed again—it was Harris calling. She answered immediately. “Amy! We’ve confirmed it,” Harris said, his voice urgent. “The car belongs to Danielle Clevers. Danielle Clevers is the one who ran down Charlotte Warper!” Amy’s hands trembled as she held the phone. “I… I can’t believe it…”

"Wait. I’m not done talking to you." Zayn paused, his hand on the doorknob. He looked at her briefly. "I have many other important things to do, Daisy." But something wasn’t right. She blinked twice, seeing double. Her small hands pressed to her temples as she stood still, trying to stop the dizziness.

She gasped in shock when she felt a hand on the inside of her thigh. She looked down, but the blindfold meant she couldn't see anything. And then... "Mmmmfmfff!!" Ami took a step back as the shadow grinned, revealing rows upon rows of sharp, crooked teeth. Ami stared in horror as the shadow raised its right arm, it's claws shining in what little sunlight there was, and in a blink of an eye it brought it down striking Ami and sending her crashing into a thicket of bushes. Ami breathed shakily as she got up from where the bushes, feeling the burn of the claw marks that now marked her skin. She had but a few precious moments before the shadow screeched, sending shivers down Ami's spine. Ami spent little time standing around and bolted from the soft know the hunt had began and that she was the prey.
