Mom says and Rene thanks her. "Enough of this family talk, let's go eat." I walk over to the kitchen. And my girls follow me. "oh mom, where's Aunt Lily." "Oh she couldn't make it cause she's stuck at work. But she told me to give you this." Mom brings out a little box and I take it from her. I open it and in it is a beautiful amulet. It has this blue moonstone in the middle. I can see my reflection. "This is so beautiful. I'll call her later." I say putting the amulet back in the box.

"Stay here, keep close to Acre" "ACRE" I yell "Yeah alright, calm down bro, I'm right here," Acre says from behind me "Oh sorry, take care of Desert, Ill be right back" "Where are you going?" he asks concerned but I didn't want to alarm anyone so I mind linked him "There's someone up above" "Ok be safe, call if you need me" "PIG," the words said out loud caught my attention, so I turn to Desert with a smile on my face and raised eyebrows

Sicily and its alleys were printed in her mind like G****e maps. Finally the car came to a deserted area. No way could she make it to her secured place. Reaching a dead end Myra pulled the brake harshly and looked behind. Two cars stood there. Two more arrived from the other side also. The guard at the back seat asked to open the fire but Myra stood still and waited for some time. A blue dot appeared on the screen of the device kept in the car. She looked at the screen and smiled. Another blue dot appeared. After a few seconds the increasing number of blue dots was enough to bring a full smile on her face.

The second key. The screen flickers one last time - ARGUS: 78% ACTIVE. SHUTDOWN IMMINENT.

The screen displayed a single anonymous message that blinked at me: “You’ve stirred the hornet’s nest. Be ready.”

The color completely drained from his face. "Maya," Liam said, his voice dropping into a tense, urgent register. "Don't press any buttons on that." I turned fully around, my breath catching in my throat. Maya was staring down at her open palm. Resting perfectly in the center of her hand was a tiny, intricate piece of matte-black hardware. It was no larger than a coin, blinking with a microscopic, rhythmic red light. It had been stuck directly to my back. Someone had gotten close enough to touch me in the middle of a crowded campus without me, or Stellan’s invisible shadow detail, ever noticing.

Waiting for something. Anything.
