I stared at my reflection, watching as my once-long locks transformed into a sleek, shoulder-length bob. Next, dipping the brush into the vibrant pink dye, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement wash over me. I carefully painted the dye onto the tips of my hair, watching as the pigment spread evenly across each strand. As I worked, I felt myself transported back to my childhood days, when playing dress-up and trying out different hairstyles was a daily occurrence. This feeling only intensified as I examined my reflection in the mirror, admiring how the pink gradients seemed to dance along the edges of my blonde hair.

The suite smelled of roses and champagne, and every product used on her came from high-end European brands. The hairstylist wanted to do a sleek updo that exposed her elegant neckline, but the scar on her forehead changed the plan. Even thick concealers couldn’t mask the keloid. In the end, they settled for a soft, messy bun and heavy, straight-cut bangs—beautiful, but unflattering. It gave her an almost doll-like appearance, one that dimmed her sharpness and dulled her elegance.

_Zephyr’s POV_ The bathroom mirror was fogged up, but I could still make out my reflection through the steam. I sighed and reached for a towel, wrapping it tightly around my wet hair. Even without looking too closely, I could see it. The honey-blonde roots were back. The brown dye was fading again, and fast. It wouldn’t be long before the true color comes up.

They then carefully blow dry it, making my locks reach all the way down my back. Once my chocolate brown hair is dry, Maggie sets about curling it in tight spirals. She starts at the front and works her way around. Jane begins my make-up, applying a light base of foundation before adding the light blue eye-liner on my top eyelid. It's a thin line, ending at the edge where my eyelashes end. They pluck my eyebrows to perfection and even pencil it slightly.

They complimented. "Thank you," I replied, smiling, and faced the full body mirror, and my eyes widened to see the woman staring back at me. My hair was in a bun on top of my head, and some strands were curled and fell freely on my face. They give me smoky eyes, which make my eyes look bigger. My face had light makeup, and they painted my lips with maroon lipstick.
