Chapter Twelve Elena’s POV The lights dimmed. The bass from the DJ’s booth pounded harder, like a heartbeat echoing through the underground club. Spider’s voice cut through the haze of smoke and perfume. “Tonight,” he shouted into the mic, his grin wide and sharp, “a new angel graces our stage. Fresh, pure, untouched. Give it up for… Angel!” My blood froze.
