The light hit Julian, and he screamed as his spirit form began to tear. “Julian!” Maya choked. The black threads squeezed tighter. She felt her life slipping away. Her vision faded to gray. She looked at the iron key in her hand—it wasn’t hot anymore. It was cold and lifeless.
