The sounds of battle shook the sky, the foul aura surged, and a sea of blood roared. People fell one after another. Then they were blasted into bloody mist and absorbed by the Blood race's experts. Raging Berserker, Flaming Qilin, had gone completely crazy. Red Flame Qi around him melted the surrounding mountains. Wherever he passed, even the ground turned into lava. Blood race experts gnashed their teeth at Flaming Qilin, but they could do nothing.

I flew backward, my back hitting the concrete pillar with a sickening crunch. I dropped my rifle. The air was gone from my lungs, my vision swimming with black spots. The Enforcer stood over me, his violet eyes cold and devoid of anything resembling mercy. “You are a baseline human,” he vibrated, the sound rattling my teeth. “You are a structural flaw in the new world. You will be removed.” He raised his arm, his fingers glowing with a concentrated violet light. I knew what was coming. He was going to hit me with a focused acoustic pulse that would turn my internal organs into jelly.

We arrived too late. The border was soaked in blood, pack warriors torn apart. The scent of ash and silver lingered. “Witchfire,” Dax whispered, eyes scanning the trees. The rogues weren’t acting alone anymore. Something darker had joined the war. I stood before the Bloodfang warriors. Their eyes held doubt, and something colder, fear. “I don’t need your crown,” I said, voice steady. “But if you want a future, you’ll follow me now.”

I said as I spotted Commander Adam walk in and call us together. All through the training, I could feel my brother's concerned gaze on me. I trained hard for over 3 hours. The training for a werewolf warrior was very different from that of humans. Even though all werewolves were born with an instinct to fight, the training in the Delta Warrior gave us some added advantage. More stamina, endurance, and coordination as a unit. After training, I was drenched in sweat as I walked into the built-in shower to cool off. I was mildly surprised to still see my brother waiting for me, sitting on the hot bleachers.

Then the thing shifted again—and it was Alessio himself, younger, afraid, cornered, pointing a gun at a boy who would not fight back. The vault wasn’t memory. It was punishment. It moved like it knew the deepest parts of you—and hated them. The walls pulsed. Then the whisper returned. “One blood must break for the rest to live.” Alessio turned to Emilia. Her face had gone pale, but not from fear. From recognition. “What does it mean?” he asked. “It means what it always meant,” she said. “We were never meant to survive each other. This war... it was designed.”

Luca nodded in confusion. "I noticed it but... I thought it was just a birthmark." The doctor chuckled lightly. "Only warlocks are born with such birthmarks Alpha, so she is going to live. Their blood simply does not mix with Vampire venom, but she will be alright, she would not turn, and she will remain fertile." Luca nodded, all he could think of is that she is awake, that she will be fine. "Thank you very much doctor. Can I see her now?"
