It was clear right from day one that Sierra isn't as welcoming as Angela, which didn't really bother me as I also didn't want to be part of the family; sooner or later I would be leaving. The chain was adjustable, allowing Aqua to wear the pendant at just the right length so that it rested over her heart. As she wore it, Aqua noticed the stone's clarity, reflecting her calm and balanced state of mind. Whenever she felt at peace, the pendant remained clear and pristine. However, when her emotions stirred, the pendant would change. A slight hue of blue appeared when she felt sadness, while a warm golden tone emerged during moments of happiness. If anger or fear took hold of her, the gemstone would darken, turning a deep, unsettling black.

“Well, I’m Sebastian. And you?” His smile widened as he introduced himself, birthing beautiful cheekbones and lightening up the most gorgeous set of blue eyes Alex had ever laid his eyes on. “Blue.” “What?” “What?” Alex immediately looked up to a confused looking guy. “Your name’s Blue?” he confirmed. “Oh, that,” realization finally hit Alex. “Yes, it is.
