A crown of ice and diamond sat on her head, identical to the one Atlas’s mother wore. She intertwined her arm with Atlas’s and smiled out towards the crowd. My snarl tore through my throat, making it ache and sting. The sound was lost within that god-awful cheering. Nearly three seconds later, something happened. Aralia’s skin began to glow, this light-blue shade that had me averting my eyes. It radiated from beneath her skin. I could smell fresh snow and clean lakes, salty oceans and rain water.
