June's eyes blurred for a moment, as she tried to make out the people from the bright light that attacked her eyes. Lucy's jaws dropped open as she stared at June, eyes open and sitting up. "J-June?" Her lips quivered and the disbelief was clear in her eyes. "Lucy?" June managed a small voice, tiny and easy to miss. The sound of Lucy's phone slipping from her hands and hitting the floor filled the air. "June..?" Lucy stepped out of Liam's hold, refusing to blink for fear of the sight of June disappearing from her sight. "You're awake..." Her voice was soft and her tears were unstoppable.

“You’ve been out all night. It’s already morning.” Reluctantly, I opened my eyes. The sunlight was spilling into the room through the thin curtains, painting the space gold.
