Jess sat up right and once more it was pitch black, that’s when jess understood what this was. “My nightmares.” Jess whispered, her voiced echoed in the darkness, but it was as if Jess had just said the key for everything to explode. Every single one of her bad memories, jumped out of the dark, young Jess sitting with her dead mother, trying to clean her wound, hoping she will wake up if Jess just keeps pressure on it. Her Father chasing her, beating her, screaming at her. Her beast tormenting her once again. All the Jess’s, the young ones or the older ones, each one of them that cried out in pain as they were being cut, burned or beaten, each Jess that was ever told how she should just die,

The most surprising thing is, they both are wearing matching clothes. Blue, in every shade, represents the winter realm, and orange, in every shade represents the summer realm. "Some is looking handsome" she whispered playfully. Drake is amused by her complement. "Is that so?" he asked playfully. "Hmm" she hummed with a twinkle in her eyes.

I never took my eyes off my father. "My monster wasn't blue, green, or purple. Blue was his unlucky color. Green reminded him of puke, and he didn't even like purple. That's why he decorated my body with those colors. This monster didn't come out and scare me after falling asleep. No, he only scared me when he stumbled home. He gave me bad dreams, too, so there is that."

When dream version of me looked down at her, there was no swollen bump, only blood pooling around her. Now, I wiped my face and fisted my trembling fingers. After taking a few calming breaths, I slid out of the bed and made my way to the bathroom to get a cold shower and get rid of the stench left from that nightmare. In the past my nightmares were a different version of that night when I lost Lily and my unborn son, it only got better when my nights filled with certain blue eyed girl with her own monsters. But then those nightmares came back with a vengeance started to visit me again when I went back to my home and left Violet here, who was apparently guarding me from my vicious dreams.

I had nightmares in the first few years, but they faded as I got into high school. Finally, my thoughts drift to my mom and dad as they get up to grab the last glass of orange juice from the fridge. If any of those idiots dared sneak into my room tonight, goddess help them. I might actually let Blue bite something off. Yeah, they can keep arguing out there. Inside here? This queen sleeps alone.
