A Mask at the Wedding

A Mask at the Wedding

"Do you take this woman to be your wife, to stand by her through thick and thin?" "I do," the man said, his voice muffled by the mask. The guests whispered in awe. Howard Larson, the Larson family's big shot, was so in love with me that he would not let a bad cold stop our big day. He did not want to disappoint me. "Wait a second." The man's eyes darted around, and his forehead was dotted with sweat. I smiled and asked, "Howard, you're looking a bit pale. Too busy with the wedding to remember your medicine?"

Midnight Cravings: A Forbidden collection

Midnight Cravings: A Forbidden collection

The invitation was clear: masks were mandatory, identities optional. My gown was a masterpiece of sin — deep midnight blue silk with a corseted bodice that pushed my breasts up dramatically and a flowing skirt with a high slit. A matching sapphire mask covered the upper half of my face, leaving my lips and jaw exposed. Underneath, as always, I wore nothing. Alessandro, Matteo, and Luca looked devastating in tailored black tuxedos and matching dark masks that only accentuated their sharp jawlines and piercing hazel eyes.

Behind The Mask

Behind The Mask

It was elegant and terrifying. We approached a woman seated behind a sleek glass desk. Her face was expressionless. When she saw Mr. Everhart, she stood quickly and bowed, deeply, reverently, before sliding something across the counter: a mask. Without hesitation, Mr. Everhart took it. The mask was white porcelain, etched with subtle obsidian lines. He placed it over his face and pinned a silver tag to his lapel. The name engraved on it was, Alpha. He turned to me “You won’t be needing this yet,” he said quietly, though his eyes behind the mask were unreadable.

MASKS AND ILLUSIONS

MASKS AND ILLUSIONS

My chest tightens with a recognition I can’t place. I reach the door and pause. Through the gap, I see a bed angled toward the window, blinds drawn but leaking thin bands of early light. Machines stand sentinel, their screens alive with quiet green waves. And on the bed...... It’s me. I stop breathing. The figure lies perfectly still, and hair spread like a dark fan across the pillow. A pale blanket rises and falls with each slow inhale. The face, my face, holds the colour of morning milk. Eyes closed, Lips parted just enough to catch the soft hiss of oxygen.

The Mafia’s Angel Ordeal.

The Mafia’s Angel Ordeal.

I turned toward the full-length mirror, inhaling deeply. A smirk tugged at my lips. ‘Allison Blade, the mafia wife in black.’ A vision of power, of a woman who belonged to the mafia king himself. I reached for the mask, securing it into place, the final touch of dominance. Lena stepped back, nodding in approval. “With a few final touches, it’ll be ready for delivery by Saturday morning.” I met her gaze through the mirror. “That’s perfect.”

The first chapter had me hooked honestly, it was gripping though I didn’t like it when he hid the truth from her, finding out from someone will definitely strain their relationship! Highly recommend ... The storyline is so intriguing, don’t snooze this baby ...‍...️

The characters in this book feel so alive—it’s like I’m watching a movie! I absolutely love Dontrell's affection towards Alison; it’s so emotional and heartfelt. It makes me connect deeply with their story. Amazing work to the author! I can’t wait for more chapters. Keep it coming!

Beneath The Mask

Beneath The Mask

Marcello’s eyes widen, his body instinctively recoiling despite the restraints. “Let’s make sure you never forget who owns you,” I sneer, pressing the searing tip of the poker against his chest. He thrashes violently, but a guard pins him in place as I carve the De Luca crest into his skin. The hiss of flesh burning beneath the metal mingles with his guttural cries, the acrid stench nearly overwhelming. When I pull the poker away, the symbol is clear, raw, and blistered. “Now there’s no doubt about who you belong to,” I say, leaning down to meet his tear-streaked gaze.

THE MASK: A Twin's Disguise

THE MASK: A Twin's Disguise

He pulls out a chair for me and I take a seat. There's small talk around the table and then we eat silently for the rest of the meal. We're seated on the couches when a baby clothing add comes on TV. "Oh my God, that's so cute!" Maria gasps at seeing pink soft tiny shoes, a little headsock and a tutu fluffy dress. "You like it?" "I love it!" "We're getting it first thing tomorrow then," Darien says with finalty. "Really?" She looks at him with wide round eyes.

Nothing is Forbidden, Right?

Nothing is Forbidden, Right?

Lex perused the masquerade, feeling somewhat elated by the fact that he was indistinguishable. He adjusted his white and gold mask that covered his entire forehead but extended only to half of his face. The overall colour was white with an acrylic effect. The gold highlighted the eyelids and accentuated the mask.

I just thought this story was wonderful! The interactions, conversations, personalities were just real, sweet, emotional and fun. Just enough tension to spice it up but nothing stupid in behavior or words. Well done! Loved it!
Kara Lynne Anderson
This was excellent. I enjoyed it and was relieved that the author didn't try to add in a plot twist that would have changed the personality the story built for each character. the characters were so relatable and the forbidden aspect made every encounter filled with all the right tension.

MASKED

MASKED

Amore said with a smile. "What? Are you going to go on your revenge by pretending? Amore, you might be cursed again when he finds out. You know he's a cunning man, don't you?" He replied full of concern. "Ah, I'll take care of it. I can pretend as long as I have a different face. I can't take off my mask, because he will suspect me!"

Trapped With The Ruthless Alpha: The Heiress Vendetta

Trapped With The Ruthless Alpha: The Heiress Vendetta

ADELINA'S POV My heart was racing and pounding against my rib cage. Viktor stopped as if he suddenly remembered something. He reached out for his breast pocket and finally pulled out a blue mask which matched his suit. A mask, "Is this a mask ball?" I asked. "Yeah, I almost forgot." Viktor chimed before pulling out a light blue mask decorated with silver and small gemstones, contrasting his royal blue mask decorated with gold lines. My brows furrowed, the others we walked past didn't have a mask on or would they put it on before stepping into the room.
