I sign and she doesn't respond. My phone pings and I look down to see a message from Peter asking if I'll be at the club on Tuesday as him and Callum are doing a live show. Peter and Callum are the only people that I'd consider to be friends. Even then we don't see each other outside of the club. Peter is a doctor and Callum is a nurse at the same hospital so they're both very busy people. I text back to say maybe as mum finishes washing the dishes. "Are you texting a girl?" I softly thanked him and hung up. The courier had arrived. The packed gifts were loaded onto their truck. Soon, these things would return to his hands. A lone player, with stats higher than anyone could imagine, though Uriel reckoned he could beat those 'weak numbers' in a few days. They go by the name of 'Blue', which already had Uriel convinced that that person was a twelve year old.

As much as I hated the idea, becoming friends with the human would be the way to Blue’s heart. “We need answers.” Jaxon’s voice rumbles through my head. “So now you want my help?” I snap back through the mindlink. He had been certain he knew the way to get Blue to come with us. I watch as Blue and Bree talk to each other. I hear Bree ask her if she is alright and if we had done anything to her. Blue shakes her head and Bree squeezes into the ugly chair next to her, almost like she was trying to protect her.

When Lucia and Cyn saw me glancing at them, they smiled at me, and I smiled back. Then I saw Azel leaning at Damona and Helix hugged them both. They also look like a family. Meanwhile, Blue sat between Michelle and Layla with a puppy look. He’s looking at me pleadingly and I just chuckled. Well, the two sisters didn’t let him go when they first saw him. Blue is so cute and the sisters couldn’t get enough of his cuteness. Poor thing. Hehe.

I returned to stare out the window at the ponderosa pines that littered the landscape. It was beautiful scenery and full of space for a werewolf to frolic. We turned off onto a long gravel drive and I side-eyed my mom feeling that the plywood shack would be making its appearance shortly. Boy, had I been mistaken… The first thing that caught my eye was the rod iron sign over the road that read Blue Moon. As we continued up the road two large pack houses were on either side of the asphalt road and a roundabout had a large marble fountain in the middle of it.

Lindsay looked at her watch. “Crap, we need to get out of here, or we will have to come up with something to tell Joe and Abigail,” Lindsay said. “I will take care of that if we need to,” Wren said. “Let’s get back and see how Max and Izzy are doing with Blue.” “Blue?” “Yes, Blue. We found out that not only does he have patches of blue skin, but his blood is the same shade of blue. We started calling him the blue guy and things like that, and it just got shortened to Blue,” he explained.
