It looked like obsidian glass, curved and narrow, veins of silver light pulsing through it like a heartbeat. It emerged from nowhere, no summoning circle, no warning glyph, just there, sliding out of empty space and into flesh.

In his hands, he held a shorter blade that he offered to Aria handle-first. "Basic silver alloy with moonstone inlay," he explained. "Not powerful enough to significantly enhance your abilities, but sufficient to provide a focus for channeling energy if you need it.
