The Alpha's Rejected Mate
The spell could only offer me a temporary reprieve, a fleeting taste of a life I could never fully have.
As the sun began to sink lower in the sky, casting long shadows across the market, I felt a pang of regret. Reluctantly, I started to retrace my steps, the enchantment gradually fading away. The incantation echoed softly in my mind as I whispered, "Solis dominus, aeternum tenebras serviam."
With a heavy heart, I closed my eyes and began to chant the reverse of the spell, my voice tinged with melancholy. The world around me blurred and shifted once more, and when I opened my eyes, I found myself back in the study room, the sunlight now a distant memory.
