He pulled out a very old book. It was super thin and look like it would fall apart if it was handled roughly. The Moon Goddess recognized it immediately and stepped back. “What, how didn’t you find it? How did you even get close to it?” The Moon Goddess stuttered looking at the book.

I had expected something else and not for it to be all that easy. “The book is right here” Augustus said and showed us the book. It looked ordinary and carried no presence to it. “Let me see it” I said and took the book from him. Immediately our hands touched the book a sudden light erupted from it, striking Augustus and me. I felt a searing pain tear my body into two and for a moment, I could watch my body lying weakly on the floor. Elana said some chants and closed the book. It took great force and the pain increased by the minute. Slowly, my eyes closed, and I was welcomed into the darkness.

I read it in school, though I don’t remember it being that long.” She takes another drink of coffee. “I thought maybe you were Greek or something.” “Nope. I’ve never even been to Greece.” “That’s weird then.” She shrugs, finishes her coffee, and uses the bathroom before she takes off. “See ya later,” she says.

It was a book bound in hard blue covers and etched along the spine in gold letters was the word; “Khione.” “Khione,” She repeated, it was something they had been calling her, maybe she might find something here. “Let’s start with you then.” She smiled and turned away from the shelf, back to the table but paused when she noticed another book that was misplaced, she moved closer till she could read the words etched on the spine. Osyron. She ran her finger along the book’s spine, wrapped her fingers around so she could have a good grip, and then she pulled. She would read this one first.
