The tugging sensation begins again, growing more and more intense as I continue to hold on, as the feeling intensifies I close my eyes and let it take me where it will. Splat! I make the mistake of gasping for breath and the taste of both mud and excrement fill my mouth. Spitting, I stand up noticing in the journey that I have dropped the pendant. Taking a look around, I wonder if this is where the heir has been hidden all this time. Reaching down I pick up the pendant and wipe it off on my cloak. A good place to read and study. After placing my things on the seat, I make my way straight to the mythology section of the library. In this part of the place, you could see different kinds of myths; Greek, Norse, Asian and more. Upon scanning the title of the displayed books, my eyes were caught by a familiar author, Priam. I hurriedly extend my hand to reach for the book, but another hand grab onto it first. I turned my head to the direction of the owner of that hand, it was a man just a little bit inches taller than me.

I say starting to head towards the door. "Will he be fine on his own?" Flavius gestures to Loki. "He will be fine on his own," I respond. Flavius sets Loki down in his bed, and we leave the room. I lead Flavius through the maze of hallways to the temple within the horde where I know we will find Sunniva. We enter the candlelit temple side by side.

The gray-coated man quietly whispered, "It remembers you." Adrian stopped. "I've never seen this book." The stranger looked into his eyes. "No." "But it has seen you." A low hum filled the island. The first page slowly turned by itself. The second page... was completely blank. Not a single word. Not a single mark. Only a tiny sentence appeared at the bottom. Place your hand here. The First Reader immediately raised his voice. "Don't." "If the book accepts you..." "...there will be no turning back."

I did not understand that the physical building was the scaffolding for something else. He closed the journal. The fire was low. Don turned a page—the sound of paper, the specific sound of a large book being turned by someone who was not in a hurry. The sound had become familiar over six years. It would become more familiar over the next five months, as Don read his way into Greece. The first book had arrived on a Tuesday. The other two would arrive on Thursday. The reading had begun. The wanting was being built. ---

Instead, I would be grounded for a month rather than get nightmares for a year. There was dust on it. The particles made me cough as I blew to brush it off, only to inhale. I read the title as if it was in an ancient language. "Amihan," I whisper in the ancient tongue, pronouncing the word. It wasn't hard. Nay taught me a few letters of the ancient language, so reading the title of this book came in handy. Now here comes the fun part. I open the book to the first page and read the passage.

I sighed and took a Sherlock Holmes book but turned it back and went to another shelf. Don’t get me wrong, who wouldn’t want Sherlock holmes? I already read them so I don’t want to read them again until I can find something. Ah, of course, Harry Potter is here too, but I just touched them. I finished them already, mate. I wondered at the library until I saw this thick book covered with weird letters. Greek Mythology? I tilted my head and approached the book. My eyes widened as sparks covered my body, I suddenly heard the thunder roaring at the sky. My vision became blurry and when it got back, I saw a man holding a lightning bolt and said. “My daughter, my demi-god.”

He hands me the book and I look it over before opening it. “I think this will be of some help to you, I can help you with focus and direction.” I look at a few pages of the book, it has detailed accounts and explanations on how to fulfil different ‘desires’. It shows intricate symbols, circles and some of the symbols look like they are glowing. “What language is this?” Zylith asks and I look up at her. “What do you mean, it’s English.” Sure some of the words were difficult and new but Zylith was far from dull.
