Fated to My Brother in-law, The Lycan King

Fated to My Brother in-law, The Lycan King

I let out a long sigh. As much as I would have loved to explore the books, pick out a favorite to read, arrange it back in place before he comes, I opted for another activity I head down to the basement. It was a small room, housing only a few things like the desk Witt two different chairs tucked underneath, lamps, â single bed and a shelf, filled with notebooks alongside a stack of file. The room smelled like old paper I slowly walked towards the shelf, My fingers slowly tracing its lines. Whilst looking at the not-too-arranged note collection, something caught my eye

Though a Mirror Darkly

Though a Mirror Darkly

We have a nice selection of them, actually. Along with the journals are some musty cloth-bound editions of classic literary texts. You know the kind. Books which appear antique and valuable but aren’t. Here’s a damp, musty-smelling copy of Benito Cereno, next to a collection of Shakespeare’s plays. Also, several classic editions of Hemingway’s novels. Now here’s something interesting. A diary. Upon opening it, a name scrawled on the inside cover grabs my attention: “Jebediah Bassler.” Of Bassler House? Bassler Road, and Bassler Memorial Library? This is interesting, to say the least.

My Ex Wants It After the Divorce

My Ex Wants It After the Divorce

The room lit up, and Liana and Isaac had a clear view of the basement. The place was nothing ordinary. It was filled from wall to wall with a series of bookshelves, giving it the appearance of a private library. The shelves were filled with numerous files, and apart from that, the decor of the place was chic and futuristic, thanks to the state-of-the-art gadgets. Standing on the floor that gleamed like glass, Liana and Isaac felt like they were inside a futuristic library. However, they took care not to let any surprise show on their faces.

This book is one of a kind…well written full of suspense and thrill. Not a floppy romance story where the leading character always festured as an underdog, no backbone…at least Liliana is portrayed with integrity and humbleness .........

I CANNOT RATE THIS BOOK YET. I HAVE TO READ UNTIL THE MIDDLE OF IT. I HOPE IT WILL NOT REACH A THOUSAND CHAPTERS LIKE THE OTHERS THAT I'VE STARTED READING AND EVENTUALLY I STOPPED BECAUSE OF THE SCHEMES AND TWISTS WHICH DRAGGED THE STORY THAT MAKE IT BORING.

Death's little angel

Death's little angel

"I guess Adonis must've hid the book among his other precious books knowing nobody in the palace knows about his secret basement." "What secret basement are you talking about?" "Beneath the depth of this icy mansion lies a big basement carved out by death minions and supervised by Adonis himself, I recall Adonis taking me to his secret room. I think that place house all his valuables and the book should be there."

The Love I Have Hoped For

The Love I Have Hoped For

I have a worse relationship than him, that's for sure. I got on the elevator and pressed 16. It's just a floor up. Outside the elevator, the layout of the room is almost the same as the one below. It also has glass walls. The main difference is of course this room has many book shelves. The room is empty. I guess Nica is right, no one usually comes here. Why would they? They can use their computers when they need to search for any information they want. I can also do that to know the history of JBC Publishing, but I'd rather leave that place and stay somewhere more comfortable.

Nanny and Her Four Alpha Bullies

Nanny and Her Four Alpha Bullies

His body’s gone too. For a moment, I stand still against the wall, half-expecting him to come back. Yet when I look behind me, I’m alone in the hallway. Son of a bitch. It’s morning, and I’m cutting the start of class to sneak to the bookstore. I have Debbie’s list of the popular BDSM series, but I don’t have to go far to find it. There’s a full display for it decorating an endcap. Debbie recommends the entire series, but I figure I better start with just the first. After consulting the list, I pluck the first one from the top of the shelf.

It’s frustrating when an author starts a new book and posts it chapter by chapter yet never finishing all the other books she has posted. As of count now there are 7 completed books and 11 unfinished books. Not sure if she’s doing to make her readers mad or she’s ADHD and can’t focus. Very selfish!

What happened?? Why is this book not being updated?? I read for couple of months following regularly and all of a sudden you stop publishing, wasting my money, time and effort. This is totally unacceptable and wrong on your part.

HUMAN MATE OF THE ALPHA KING

HUMAN MATE OF THE ALPHA KING

When they were out of the main drinking area, where the nightclubs and bars were located, Lucas allowed himself a small, satisfied smile. Ema would be pleased. After weeks of failure, they were positive that they would receive exactly what they had been looking for. Astor followed the smell to a little, independent bookshop nestled in between a thrift store and a vegan café. Over the door was a sign that proclaimed ‘Bookmark Haven’ in finely chipped gold paint. Indeed, the bookstore was closed, and all the windows in it were blind, but Lucas was convinced the individuals were still alive in the building.

Bloodline of Sin

Bloodline of Sin

Baek turned and marched toward the side entrance. Felix sighed, took one last, mournful drag, and crushed the cigarette under his Gucci loafer. "Bossy. I kind of like it." He followed Baek into the mansion. The transition was jarring, from the damp cold of the outside to the hermetically sealed silence of the Han estate. They walked through corridors lined with portraits of people who looked like they had never laughed in their lives. They arrived at the Library Study. It was different from the main office Jun had described from his childhood. This room was a cavern of dark walnut wood and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves filled with leather-bound volumes that Felix was certain no one had opened

In the Darkness of City Blocks

In the Darkness of City Blocks

- I'll be training new recruits in the basements. - said Baruz, leaving the archive. The door slammed shut. The librarian, after standing for a while, took an armful of books and sat down at the computer. Without looking at the monitor, he quickly tapped on the keys. The noise of the cooler, the flickering of the monitor, such simple things, so quickly fit into the usual life. Modern technology, surrounded by old books. The present interacts with the past, seeking to avoid mistakes.

REBORN AND BECOME A BILLIONAIRE'S WIFE

REBORN AND BECOME A BILLIONAIRE'S WIFE

Inside, the hallway is too quiet. No nurses. No late staff. No cleaning carts. Just bright overhead lights and a polished floor and a smell so clean it feels false. “This way,” Sebastian says, "We move fast." The records room is in the basement. A stairwell at the end of the corridor. Keycard access. Sebastian uses his phone to mirror the credentials Lucas sent. The door opens. We go down. The basement is colder. Rows of cabinets. Archive shelves. Shredding bins. Boxes stacked by year and department. It would almost feel ordinary if not for the sound of paper tearing somewhere in the back. We all hear it.
