"It sounds like an idea for a new book, " he said, pulling up a chair next to her. "This time you have all the information you need.. You get to keep all the money from the book." The Multi-Generational Matrix Elena opened her notebook. Started sketching out a new story. She was using the journals as inspiration. She was going to write a historical fiction book using her expertise to tell a story that was based on real events.

Heck, had I found out about this place sooner, I wouldn't have left it. “So many books,” I whispered, awestruck. I tried to peer at the fictional section, but looked away. That could wait. This needed our urgent attention. “Yeah,” she muttered as she led me deeper into the library. “But we better focus. These are the history books…” she mumbled, carefully studying the titles and the covers of the thick, dust covered books. “I am looking for one specific book…” I sighed picking one, rather heavy book that had a red cover. Wolves… the title said.

*Harper* The library had always been my quiet escape. Even before all of this, before the red velvet dress, before the club hidden beneath the city, before Rowan, the scent of old paper and worn bindings calmed me. History had a rhythm. Rise, fall, conquer, collapse. It made sense. It gave me something to hold onto when the present felt too fluid, too dangerous. People made no sense sometimes, but history as a whole did.

No longer able to slip my finger over the backs of the books for fear I might touch something else I didn’t want to know about, I tried to read some of the titles, but I could see these books had been handled a lot. I wondered where they would have been stored in the library and who would have spent so much time reading them. I found one that had to do with the history of the first beast and made sure the cover was animal before I pulled it out. I could deal with animal leather. Finding a seat, I made myself comfortable and started reading the account of one of the royal council members. “September 15th, 1789

I teased, trying to sound reasonable. Julius glanced at the historical book he had brought from the bookstore before we came to the library. I followed his gaze, my eyes landing on the cover—a woman's back facing the viewer, surrounded by soldiers. I scanned the bookshelves, realizing that most of the books were fiction, possibly historical ones. He raised his eyes to meet mine, the smile still lingering on his face. "I'm curious, that's all. You've helped me greatly on behalf of my cousin, and maybe I can help you with whatever it is."

I asked. “Another one of his historical smuts.” Henry replied, raising his voice to grab Ron’s attention. “This is fine historical literature not smut.” I snorted at that. “Fine historical literature my ass.” Henry said. Hen was right. I had once searched for a book in Ron’s vast library that did not involve a Duke being wickedly seduced by a temptress or a Highlander spilling his seeds into a moaning fair maiden and had not found any. Not that I was complaining, they were quite educative.

“But immediately you feel better, I’m taking you down here. What kind of books do you like? Fiction, non-fiction or historical?” “Any really, but mostly historical.” I replied in a more cherry voice. Her excitement is starting to rub off on me. “Ooohh, which books have you read? I bet you that I know.” “Lycan history mostly.” Her smile broadened. “I have just what you would love.”

She will just make sure not to ask for a favor again. After breakfast she had with him, Althea went to the library to read a new book. This time she thought about picking a book about some of the powerful families in Westland which includes history of the royal family and Carter family as well. She doesn’t know why she was now so interested in their history, but since she is now this interested she doesn’t see herself going back. She loves reading books so she will regard it as reading a good novel. “This book is nice Baroness, you will surely get to know a lot,” Nina said.

"There are things in Moonhaven's history that are better left in the past. But sometimes the past doesn't stay buried." She turns to leave, then pauses at the door. "There's a book you should read. In your father's collection, I believe. 'Convergent Histories of Coastal New England Towns.' Dreadfully dry title, but... illuminating content." With that cryptic recommendation, she's gone, leaving me staring after her, the bell's chime echoing in the empty shop. I've catalogued every book in this store, including my father's prized collection of local history. I've never seen that title.

Yeah, join the club. I sighed, wondering just how long I’d be stuck down here. I combed my fingers through my hair, pulling it up into a messy bun on the top of my head. Unruly red curls with a mind of their own fell around my face. My body propped itself up against the wall, my hand reaching for the book that I was currently reading. This was my third time reading “Outlander” by Dianna Gabaldon. Her series was one that I really enjoyed. A twentieth-century nurse went back in time to eighteenth-century Scotland. It was filled with love and loss as well as honor and betrayal. Her writing had it all.
